Karate Kid claims to have no superpowers, but he do.
He can move at many times the speed of light, as proven in his battles against such fast opponents. Why don't we face it? It's kinda like how some humans in Dragonball just are more powerful than others, Karate Kid is randomly born with extreme speed.
the fact that a character (let's say superman) can fly at >> light speed doesn't mean he use it all the time in his fights. super speed doesn't always equal to greater than light speed.
having said that. KK's able to match these people due to his unearthly technique
To be honest technique wouldent allow you to hang with individuals who can throw biuldings and move around the world in seconds. It be better chalked up to chi amping but to some absurd digree.
Skill alone can't take on an opponent thousands of times faster than yourself, hell, it can't even take on an opponent ten times faster than yourself.
Imagine that I was 100 times more skilled in combat than you are, but that my movements are slowmotion next to you. Will you just run into my fist, when you can merely punch my head before I can manage to defend it?
Honestly that simply writers forgeting his powers. Honestly feel like sneaking up on DD means so much more. Feel like the writers completely forget superman has superhuman senses ten times DD own, simply becuase superman has so many powers as it is and thoses are the least interesting.
Welcome to comics, where common sense takes a back seat. I don't think anyone would dispute the claim that he shouldn't be able to do such things. But he does. We are asked to accept it, just as we are asked to accept thousands of things in comics that fly in the face of reason. If you can't stomach such contradictions, you're reading the wrong materials.
