sidious would win because if snoke was this powerful why didn't he go after sidius head on instead he waited till sidious was dead to become the sith lorg.

At the time Sidious was in rule, Snoke was much weaker than he was in the Last Jedi.

He was not just taking on Sidious he had an empire. Yoda had to attack at one point when he was vulnerable Sidious was not the type to leave himself open for assassination. Snoke bided his time and took control of the First Order.

What you should have said is,” Snoke was remotely as powerful as he is now, at the time Sidious would have defeated him.”

Or are you saying that Snoke was more powerful than Sidious at that time as well?

snoke might know how to use the force but sidious is way more powerful at lightsaber dueling in the star wars sequal yoda had a hard time to defeat sidious and they both are one of the most best lightsaber duels i have ever seen.
