Actually I think the Xbox S controller is the best of the lot. The Gamecube one feels cramped when I use it, the PS2 one feels too light but gets the job done, but the Xbox control is the best.
The PS3 controller does look a bit strange and difficult to handle. The Xbox 360 controll is nearly the same as the Xbox. Also the Revolution controller has not been revealed.
i think that the flashy look and cheep ripoff of the spiderman logo type lettering might throw off the gamers for the ps3 but facts are that it has alot more going for it than xbox. there using a cell processer which can hold alot more space for the system itself along as the fact that it can also do multiple features, but its also gonna suupport the new blu- ray disk format which holds more space and memory on the disk itself for games, so the amount of space that can be used and the amount of space going to be used will live up to our gaming expectations. implus, sorry, but my personal opinion is that the xbox, is a waste of money, just for a couple good games ( halo ) with good gameplay and a bad, stereotypical storyline.
oh yea and the xbox controllers dont suit me either, i prefer the comfortability of the playstation controllers all though that might be ruined with the new thinner upcoming controllers for the ps3
It has been said by Nintendo that all games from past consoles will be available for download through emulation. Which makes me have to ask the question... has Nintendo figured out how they are going to address royalties for games made by third party developers? I mean, it'll be great and all to play Viewtiful Joe, Super Castlevania IV and Goldeneye 64 on the same machine, but aren't these all proprietary to Capcom, Konami and Rare? They'd better have figured out how these guys are going to get their kickbacks, otherwise I smell lawsuits down the line. And seeing how Rare is now part of Microsoft, not sure how games such as Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, Killer Instinct, Banjo Kazooie and the original Conker BFD are going to be made available that easily for the Revolution...
The PS3 (GPU) is only 50Mhz faster than the 360, wow. (PS3 = 550Mhz 360 = 500Mhz)
The ATI chip in the 360 works on a "Unified Pipeline" System which means it can also do "multiple features".
The RSX chip for the PS3 (or the "Cell") doesn't use this architecture.
And considering when it comes to all the technical stuff alot of us don't know much about, Microsoft knows what they're talking about.
As far as the PS3 having "more going for it" than the 360, right now, I don't think so, because all I've seen is some really (really) nice CG, no in game footage, now if you take a look at Gears of War, for the 360, you will plainly see that its in a league of its own.
And yes, I've seen "Killzone 2", again, more CG, alot of Sony fanboys have seemed to have lapped this one up, but I don't see how a game for a console that isn't out for at least another year can look so polished so early on when, the 360, with most of its games (including Gears of War) are running off Apple G5 development kits and thats going to be here come Christmas.
Don't get me wrong, the PS3 will be awesome, and I'll probably be getting one myself, but until I see some actual in-game footage (I think Fight Night is kicking around somewhere) that betters the 360, I'm not holding my breath and at the end of the day, its about the games, not this whole "Penis Size" competition between companies, and the 360's launch portfolio consists of about 30+ games, and alot of those appeal to me more than Sony is offering right now.
