That is a common argument against Koon. But in return, I ask, why was Yoda disarmed in combat? Why was Sidious? Either of them could waste Horn. Him getting disarmed doesn't really apply, happens to the best of them.

BUt, we do not know enough info on Plo Koon to judge wether he would win or not. We dont know his fighting abilities or force powers maybe except that he can shoot lightning from his fingertips. So corran would win. But I dont think he would own him so easily. He was a respected member in the jedi council. For all we know he could have been a real great fighter. Who knows. I support Corran this one though.

It was not supposed to be like that in Lucas's original scrpit. Plo Koon Ki adi and Alya and a few others were suppose to infiltrate some place in geonoisis to disarm the droids, but they got rid of that. And set it up differently. I could give you the link...., but according to the movie he was disarmed so i have nothing to argue about, unless you're saying that KI adi and Alya Secura are nothing impressive either..

See the thing is, Yoda was disarmed by Darth Sidious, the second most powerful being of the era. Sidious was disarmed by Mace Windu, one of the greatest swordsman of his time and others. Plo Koon was disarmed by bloody droids. And if such a great practioner of Djem So can be disarmed by spindly battle droids, than he renders the form useless.
And Akbar, any NJO Jedi would waste Plo Koon. That's just how it is. Now, if this Horn as of 'I, Jedi' we have a fight. But as of the NJO, Koon is gone.
As of AOTC, they weren't. But Aayla Secura was shown to make some impressive headway during the Clone Wars, displayed in the 'Republic' series.
Ki-Adi-Mundi stood up to General Grievous, the only one of his entire team who could. Now, he was defeated, but by the same being who had just crushed four Jedi. Might I remind you that among them was Secura herself, Council member Shaak Ti, and Master K'Kruhk, who gave Quinlan Vos a run for his money. Not to mention that Mundi was the prime target the entire duration of the duel.
zOMG! The almighty Geonosian drones! *gasp* It really doesn't matter whether his weapon was shot out of his hand, smacked away by a staff, or dropped when he tripped over a dead body. Fact is, he lost his weapon to bugs and droids, while Anakin and goddamn Padme could.
It this was Plo Koon fanboyism, then I would be like "wat te eff plo kon wuld win".
This has happened before. Whenever there is a massive wave of fanboyism for a character, everyone else decides that that character is a loser. This is what happening to Plo Koon right now.
We know Plo Koon is a powerful form five master. We also know he can use force lightning, as well as alter the environment with the force. He TK ability is good, he has a special skill at moving things he is not looking at. Corran doesn't even have TK unless he asorbes a large amount of energy, and even then, only for a little while, because he has to release it or he will die from storing the energy(internal combustion isn't pretty in a human ).
All the melee oponnents Corran have fought is like one Jensaari and maybe six or seven hundred Yuuzhan Vong warriors over a five year time.
Because of Corran's lack of TK, he can use many force powers. He can't throw his lightsaber. He can't use force jump. He use force push ect.
Tell me how Corran wins.

The lack of "TK" isn't necessarilly a bad thing. I mean, Corran needed to learn how to adapt a slightly different fighting style because of his disadvantage. He reallly does kick ass at dueling (that's clear when you read the NJO; specifically the first few books or so). He could always pull the duel-phase mode trick on Koon, which would most likely work.
