Not all the heros may be fighting to protect their own identities, but rather fighting to protect the identities of their friends. Or more importantly, fighting agaist a law they see as unfair regardless of if it effects them personally or not. The same as you'd expect some non-mutants to protest a mutant registration act.
It's about fighting for what you bvelieve is right. And what you might consider "right" may be no where near what your neighbor considers right.

Considering shield has had files on every hero and villain in the MU for years you could say that they never really had secret Identities to begin with. But I don't think the Gov has access to shield files. They are there own thing right?
Anyone want to make a list of people who don't have secret identities anymore?
correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't watchmen an alternate universe? This will be cool cos its characters we have invested interest in for years............
America Vs JSA. This is the same thing that caused the JSA to disband all those years ago. Irregardless, like said before, nothing is original. All you can hope for is a good writer which Millar definitely is.
Captain America (Had on WWII, SHIELD knows evertyhing about him these days)
Pretty much all X-Men (Never had them)
Fantastic Four (Never had them)
Daredevil (Outed to press)
All Avengers except Spider-Man
Namor (Never had one)
Punisher (Known)
Not the biggest fan of Millar's writing. But I'll still pick this up. Lets just hope he remembers this is 616 universe and not Ultimate universe. I wan't to read the real Cap not the U.S Agent jerk he was writing in Ultimates.
He's had some rough life...think about it, if your little brother would die before you...that a guy who was one year behind you in class would be old as hell, and you would be thrown into 50 years in future.
