I dunno, I'm rewatching TFA right now and Rey's parents are a pretty big mystery thats brought up and never really resolved. Rey herself is super mysterious and I feel like her past is definitely going to be a big deal at some point.
I'm also still convinced that Rey was at Lukes academy when Kylo attacked it but he couldn't bare to kill her for some reason, erased or muddied her memories and put her on Jakku. He clearly knew who she is ahead of time. which iirc is made very apparent in the novelisation.
Its actually just as excellent as it was the first two times. Theres a real feeling of excitement and the characters are instantly engaging. Also the action is fantastic and Abrams knows how to pace a movie. Every scene goes into the next in a way to carry the momentum of the film. It's such a contrast to the plodding, dry mediocrity of the prequels.

Wasn't about that, but it had something either really dumb or nice depending on how you look at it...I find it more the former frankly. But...[SPOILER - highlight to read]: there's a lightsaber rifle used against Vader.
The lightsaber is the power source, it's basically just like a handheld Blaster Cannon. Don't really see why there is such a thing, but yeah...I just hope it's a one off and not something that's been mass produced.
