Storm has a talk with Jean on the Astral plane during a near death experience. From the dialog it would seem that she is in complete control of her trip. Like this is something that she has done before, she even introduces Jean to her parents, and states that she would be fine.
Here she uses lightning to smash a window in a room, and uses wind to collect the pieces then hurl them at Masque. Pinning her to a door, but not breaking her skin.
After being stabbed and beating Khan's finest warriors (Harem of Alien chicks) Storm keeps it together long enough to flash freeze the pipes on Khan's ship.
Here Storm bests a speedster (quickster) with her superior control and tactical knowledge. Causing him to hydroplane. Then finishing him off with a well placed kick to the face.
Cool artist rendition for effect, and colorful commentary that says Storm called lightning akin to the lightning "that shaped the newborn world" as her, Bishop, and Thunder bird disrupt the energy matrix of Kahn's ship, causing it to crash.
Oh yeah. There was an X-Men/Spiderman crossover where the characters battled some humans turned gods. Storm was enshrouded in darkness which kicked in her claustrophibia. While she was in this, she was incapasitated by her fear (unlike with Doom) and the X-Men and Spiderman were getting creamed by the "gods." Wolverine, or somebody managed to take out the guy responsible for enshrouding her in that darkforceish-type darkness. She then says, "I am can now breathe! Now, let lightning dispell the darkness. Let the power of the storm now reign supreme!" The storm is so great that it overwhelms all of the gods and goddesses present. I'll try and remember the issue tonight.
