Mastodon? Their first release was the Lifesblood EP which was in 2001, I think.

Oh and I also feel that System of a Down should be recognized even though most of their best songs came out in the early 2000's they were formed in the late 90's smile

Not in a particular order:

Nirvana (a classic band, without a doubt)
R.E.M. (can be a bit whinny at times but they are amazing)
Radiohead (i LOVE)
Queens of the Stoneage (one of my all-time favourite bands)
Modest Mouse (i love all of their songs)
Built to Spill (big grin)
Beck (not one bad album in the 90's i can guarentee)
Blur
Smashing Pumpkins
Weezer
Greenday (now they really irritate me tho)
Nine Inch Nails
Garbage
The Flaming Lips
Sonic Youth
Cranberries (genius's)
Rage Against The Machine
Oasis (sometimes)
Jimmy Eat World(<3 some of their songs still make me cry my eyes out)
Verve
The Prodigy
Dinosaur Jr.
Guns N' Roses(if you don't like them you dont deserve to listen to music)
Sage
Fun Lovin Criminals
White Stripes
The Pixies
Cake ("bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse" such a great line!)
Jesus and Mary Chain
Pulp
Bloc Party

Okkk i know thats wayy more than 10 but i can't decide :/ i have more too but that wud be a bit excessive. If you disagree please reply!

Btw WTH Pearl Jam are crap!

I'm surprised that after reading all these lists, Blind Melon wasn't mentioned even once. I mean, even the ****ing SPICE GIRLS were mentioned (I'm really hoping sarcastically).

I absolutely hated them when I was a kid since I primarily listened to metal (and still do), but I think Matthew Good Band is a really underrated band that made some truly killer tracks in the late 90s.
