I'm actually not sure what benefit the combination of your Armor and your Claws will have, Valerian. The Combination device usually is meant for devices that compliment each other, such as the Custom Gun and the Tangle Gun, or the Jet Pack and the Mortar Backpack.
Also, the Bryar Pistol would simply be a heavy pistol. Custom Guns are usually big guns of ridiculous and intimidating proportions, rifles and cannons and whatnot.

david fenta was born on tattoine as a slave. when his family wanted freedom, their owner allowed the mother and boy to go, but davids father stayed. just 2 years later, as a 13 year old, david murdered the slaver and ran away from home. he ended up working for jabba the hutt as a gaurd until he was 21, when he became an assasin. 2 years later, he became a freelance assasin, and left tattoine for a new employer on dantooine. his job was to assasinate the hutt. when he got a clear view of jabba during a pod race, a gaurd discovered him. before david could fire five blaster were shooting straight at him. before he escaped he was badly burnt. he spent the time since in the cantinna with his buddies, until dooku came.
most noticable feature is the small rebreather strapped to his head, and the modified mandalorian helmet he wears. wears a large brown cloak riddled with blaster burns. (need someone to explain the armor system.)

heh, I did the same thing on my first character, Andro. I thought I had a true badass right out of the gate. Not that he's a lightweight anyhow.
I just had a thought. Thenewbies might find it useful to browse through the older character creation threads. Seems most people make the same few mistakes.

Erm, may not be a good idea. Most of those are Jedi, and that's quite a bit different.
The old OT thread, though, that might be a good idea. Newbies, an explanation of assigning stats and skills is here, and the character creation starts here. You'll see some common mistakes pointed out there.
Hope that's helpful, guys. The vets want fresh meat to tear into.

for the record, I PMed my stuff to Rex... I'm sure there should be some more helping and don't want to clog the thread.

Altogether, 7 points. Drop one device and you should be good to go.
If you want my advice, drop the Claws and keep your Combat tricks to Unarmed styles. You seem more suited to attacking from afar anyway, with the Disruptor Rifle and Jetpack.

I thought the Combination Device didn't count as one. That's just too much of a waste... You're right. Now that I gave it a thought, I don't REALLY need the Claws, I've looked over again the 'Devices' on the Rules thread, and the Survival Belt can come in handy. I've decided to take off the CD and add that one. Alright, THIS is my final one:
Unlike Bounty Hunters, Assassins are privately contracted killers assigned to take out targets, dead only. Cold and calculating, they prefer to work out ways for their targets to trigger traps or blast their victims from a distance, rather than coming into close contact with anyone at all. He loses his precise edge when forced into close combat, which only happens when things have gone awry.
Assassins are also combat specialists, though narrowing its focus to ranged weaponry. They have greater precision than Mercenaries, but lose the all-around capability of the Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters.

You did the first part right, in picking between Mental and Physical to spend 7 points. The rest is off, though.
Next part:
That means you can add a total of 7 points to anything listed under Physical, Mental, and also Fortune. These are your stats. Fortune can't go over 5, and the others can't go over 8. You already put 2 points on Fortune (which maxes it out), so then you have 5 points to spread among the rest. I'd suggest working on the Physical stats a bit.
Part three:
That list there, starting with Guns? Those are your skills. You've actually spent 7 points there, though, so one skill that you've added to, you need to remove one point. Then you're good with that.
Last: Devices and Merits.
Both are listed in the Core Rules thread. Devices are listed here, and Merits are listed here. Basically, Devices are cool individual shiny weapons and/or armor that you get, and Merits are background advantages your character gets. If you want a ship, or a mentor, or an ally, or a secret hideout, or to be exceptionally lucky, then you have to buy the corresponding Merit.
I'd say try reading through the Core Rules thread, as it explains everything.
i actually just figured that out myself *pats self on back*
If at first you don't succeed, you fail.
