I was also correct that Berserk was back on a monthly schedule while you stupidly claimed it wasn't since you've never heard of a wonderful invention called Google. And it's better to put those $500 into a saving's account or invest it in bonds or stocks than it is to blow all that money on comic books readily available for free.

Well it finally happened. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Gutts and friends made it to the island and are doing stuff to get to the inner island where all the elves are and stuff.
I don't think anyone really waited for a first appearance of the Elven King or Queen. Because as far as we're concerned she is just a plot device cure Casca and reveal how to defeat Griffith. So it's the next chapter we should be excited for.
The artwork was beautiful, even by Berserk standards. But the pacing was bad and a lot of the dialogue was unnecessary.
Fair enough, but Berserk is one of the most acclaimed titles in manga and one of my personal favorites. It’s a richly layered work of fiction that is novel in every way. Not many other titles can compete with the sheer emotionality of it.

I'm not sure if anyone has talked about the Idea of Evil which was introduced but would be excluded from tankōbon format at Miura's request saying:
"It's because I wanted Berserk's world to be revealed just that far, not any more than that. The appearance of god in the manga conclusively determines its range. I thought that might limit the freedom of the story development. I myself don't know if the Idea of Evil will show up again in the manga or not."
I'm just curious on what people thought of the Evil of Idea and it's possible retcon exclusion from the story.

The Idea of Evil is an extremely interesting “god” concept. Miura’s statement rings true in my mind; The Idea of Evil, while an important concept and character doesn’t play an integral role to the progression of the narrative. I highly doubt we’ll see too much more of it in the grand scheme of things, but personally I happen to be fascinated it.
