He means that Zell can break the ground. All the Final Fantasy VIII characters are super-humans after all. I think you should play the game, is a good one.
I don't see why this is all still being argued. ScreamPaste gave you all a very good point why it could be a stalemate. Honestly, a wish is still a wish, saying it wouldn't help is just stupid.

All hail Scythe, King of the Sigs.
Actually Link is gonna get killed really fast especially since Ultimecia's first form can cast spells faster than Ganondorf.
I'm not denying it.
Squall's Blasting Zone shoots a beam past the Earth's atmosphere and is brought down onto the enemy. And that's not even as strong as Lionheart.
Quistis is a blue magician that shoot lasers, missiles, cast a Death spell, shoot lighting, throw acid, infect an enemy with various negative effects, use Shockwave Pulsar which lifts enemies into the air and into a massive explosion, and magical barrier that lessens the damge of magic and physical attacks, allows regeneration and levitation, and can speed her movements.
Zell can make earthquakes, has super strength, and can run around the world to cause a massive explosion with his fist.
Selphie can put up magic barriers as well as heal herself plus has a limit break that could even put an end (no pun intended) to the overpowered Omega Weapon.
Rinoa with Angel Wings increases her magic by 5 times. She's pretty much as powerful as she is in Dead Fantasy and she's immune to mute spells and confusion. Her dog alone is pretty powerful enough to be a party member.
Irvine's gun can create massive explosions and can penetrate through defenses.
Even though they won via PIS, they're pretty uber.
1. No they don't. You can even see the arrows flying.
2. Zell's fist > Light Arrows
And none changed the Hyrule for their liking. Ganon still lost and Link didn't put an end to him.
If someone's wanking, it's you and your cute Zelda fanboy club. If Squall and friends were in LoZ, Ganon with the Triforce wouldn't be much of a challenge.
1. You do realize Exdeath will rid of Ganondorf faster than he can cast his spells? It's called the Void.
2. Nothing escapes the Void. Once put there, it's hopeless. This isn't the Dead Zone from DBZ. The Void puts all of Zelda's seals to shame.
Also, Exdeath has escaped banishment. He was defeated by the Warriors of Dawn (4 guys compared Ganon who got beat by a single elf boy) and was sealed in another planet. Exdeath, still sealed, managed to possess people to try unsealing himself, which he accomplished. And unlike Ganondorf, Exdeath actually defeated the protagonists but due to PIS, they survived the Void.
While I can agree that Exdeath is extremely powerful even in the FF universe. However all it took was a few spirits to pull the party out of the void. So it seems that the void is inescapable unless you are a spirit already when you get there. Ganondorf does have a spirit form that he can assume, seemingly at will.
I never knew what: "PIS" meant, but I suppose is something related to the plot, right...?
Actually, the Final Fantasy VIII party are super-humans, they aren't just normal mercenary humans, they are more than that. If they defeated Ultimecia (In all of her forms) was due of Squall that was destined to do it, they would have lost without Squall.
There's a difference, though. The Warriors of Dawn are dead. If they could go to the Void and save people there, it make much more sense if they go kill Exdeath themselves but they don't. It would make more sense if the power of the crystals closed the Void but I really don't care.
PIS is short for plot-induced stupidity. It's usually means when characters don't use their abilities at full extent for the sake of the plot. Villains are mostly the victims of PIS and end up getting killed with dumb weaknesses and/or weaker characters.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, the friendship weakness isn't PIS. It's just a stupid plot device.

New argument: Ultimecia destroys the planet their standing on and team 1's head proceeds to explode in the vacuum (damn who ever it was who decided to scrap spell-check ) of space.
Actually, that Friendship and Love thing is just an excuse so the characters can survive in a 'compressed Universe' because (come on) it is impossible unless they make a good reason for it (even knowing they are fictional characters, also logic plays here), they instead of making them with powers or instead of adding them special items so they can exists in such world, they added this: 'Friendship/Love' thing, that's all.
Fail logic. Link can reflect a good deal of here spells, and is immune to the rest via the item of your choice.
I accept your concession.
Agreed, they are pretty impressive (more so than Cloud), but they lack true power. The kind of absolute power those chosen by the goddesses wield.
1. Compare with WW and TP arrows. They are superior.
2. Lol, no. Zell breaks his hand on Ganondorf's chest.
That's based off the timeline theory, and is therefore irrelevant. Also, LttP.
...Is that jealousy I sense?
Squall wouldn't get past the Door of Time. The Master Sword has denied your argument.
1. Exdeath will do nothing but writhe in pain as he is banished to the gap.
2. Ganondorf did. And Zelda didn't seal him, it was all of the sages plus the Master Sword.
3. A) Exdeath was never sent to the gap, B) Exdeath got whacked, and his Void was a failure, C) that "elf boy" is actually from the race closest to the gods and was wielding the Blade of Evil's Bane, which has more feats than a lot of FF characters.
Gender: Male Location: 1/9.7'rd Horseman of the Apocalypse
The triforce is a powerful reality warping relic which contains the essence of the three goddesses of creation in Zelda.
It's power would be much greater than the FF8 party had, Link could literally turn Ultimecia into a fish, make her immortal, and banish her to a dimension entirely devoid of water for all eternity, if he felt so inclined.
