Spaceballs is a bona fide classic comedy which does a great job as a satire on Star Wars. I love John Candy as well as Rick Moranis. And the characters based loosely on Princess Leia and Han Solo are superb.
I had it on VHS but gave it to a friend for some occassion or another. Don't know if it's on DVD yet. Fantastic and funny film that gets an 8/10 rating from this movie watcher!
ya its out on dvd. i bought it for like 8 bucks, heck of a deal. what was the dogs (i mean mog) name? barfaloveru? barf for short? im going to have to bust that one out soon and watch it again. dont you love it how Mel Brooks has little cameos in all his films, sometimes multiple cameos.

and filled with wrath and despair he mounted upon Rochallor his great horse and rode forth alone, and none might restrain him. He passed over Dor-nu-Fauglith like a wind amid the dust, and all that beheld his onset fled in amaze, thinking that Oromë himself was come: for a great madness of rage was upon him, so that his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar.
I love the part where the Radar Techician (Michael Winslow) talks over the loudspeaker even though he puts down microphone he still sounds the same, has to be my favorite part of the movie.
