Backroom deals wherever there is money to be made (Per example, a leaked memo that proved Apple and many competitor's had an agreement not to poach each other's top talent, artificially keeping wages lower.)
I'm not sure how widespread corruption really is.. Nobody really knows that. I simply believe it happens, it's too common, and not enough is done to stop it.
Probably because almost everyone talented enough to stop it is putting their hand out and demanding their cut (And it's not like a professional class of killers existing is a secret, nor is it a secret that murders have happened with big enough stakes..)

Lets just assume Conservatives are the stereotypical bigoted selfish Randian's the left pretends they are, and nothing more. If you're an "oppressed" people, you can't expect the right to do anything for you.
Yet the left, what are they actually doing? Capitalism is a problem? Ok, so what's the plan to topple Capitalism, and what are you planning to replace it with. Lot of professors and P.H.D. brain trusts on the left. With all their intelligence, surely they have a plan for breaking down society and rebuilding it from the ground up, for the benefit of all. Surely all liberals expect and demand more from their fellow liberals then they would of any conservative to reshape society.
Or if you're a "help the poor" liberal, how many jobs have you provided? How many companies have you created specifically to create job?
You might say the average person can't do much more then vote.. Ok, but what about the rich on the left? What about the privileged? They have the resources to directly help people. Instead, all I see is rich assholes with big homes and lavish lifestyles who are every bit as decadent as the "corporate assholes".

This is why I laugh at poliics.. All this complaining and venom at a side that's deemed as selfish, self interested assholes, yet no effort to shame or make demands of the most privileged in your own party to do more for the oppressed. (And maybe that's the point. Look at Bubba over there with his sister wife, shotgun, and confederate flag. Pay no attention to my millions of dollars, big home, lavish lifestyle, socialite parties. And please protest for the poor outside of my gated community.. Maybe outside Glenn Beck's house. He ADMITS to being self interested. The Washington Post essentially justified gentrification. As did a number of other so called "liberal rags".
If liberalism is defined by hippie-ish standards of a war against the "fat cats", and judging by the failure of "occupy wall street", I'd say the liberals lost the class war.
The communists/socialists in the party have been completely silenced/marginalized, even among the "liberal media".

My grandfather on my fathers side is the type who loves to tell stories of the old days, on everything from what the area was like (All farmland) to how everyone had a small business (He had a grocery store.) One day after hearing him complain about a friend of my father who shopped at someone elses store (A personal affront, in his eyes), on an impulse, I asked him if all the pollack's helped each other out and shopped at each others stores. He told me the fellow pole's he knew never shopped at his store.
It's like that. White guys are all in competition with other white guys. If a white guy is a "friend of the oppressed", you can bet he probably doesn't really see a minority (or a woman, or (insert oppressed group here) ) as competition for jobs, home's, or much of anything else.
This is actually point a civil rights activist told to me, and not something I came to believe myself, when I asked him why it seemed like more poor people are openly racist then wealthy people. Not in so many words, but his main point was that poor black people and poor white people are competing for most of the same jobs, and that breeds resentment.
I probably also should have asked whether he really trusted his white allies on the democrat side.. I have a feeling he really doesn't. He'll accept any and all support, but never really trust even the most noble white democrat isn't a racist.. He'll gladly accept his donation's, though.

And that, my friends, is why I believe colleges and universities aren't really so liberal. All people ever focus on are arts and the humanities, where those stupid confrontations with students over safe spaces happens.
