Superboy Prime has survived the annihilation of a Universe and tanked Anti-Monitor's Universe-consuming energies, which he completely engulfed himself in and passed through, right before throwing him into another galaxy for the lulz, while skyfatherish Guardians were scared by a touch. Galaxy explosion must have tickled.

If he was truly outside the shield, he'd be engaging everybody, and the lanterns wouldn't focus on wrapping up the depleted SC members or heroes relaxing afterwards as if the battle was done. Him popping up was as much of a surprise as AM not being done, imo.

That should give an indication of his durability. I mean, they trapped Henshaw in there as well....if we're using 'logic' and 'common sense' (which I abhor), then why would the GLC NOT use the super mega bomb against SBP?
He also suddenly disappears from the battlefield after getting surprised by War World dropping, while everybody else is just engaging Sinestro Corps members - including Superman, Wonder Woman, Power Girl and everybody that has been shown engaging him before.
If he was still actively fighting, he must've been doing it against Wildcat, because nobody was engaging him.

Superboy prime is simply above characters like Galactus, Prime is on an entirely higher tier than Galactus. Prime's speed combined with his ability to defy reality, and anihilate anything and anyone in his path would likely result in Galactus being one shot.
On top of that this is Superman Prime, an even greater stomp in primes favor.
