Maria Bello Talks 'The Mummy 3'

hi i love the mummy 1 and 2 but i really want to see the third one right now.,

So they now have a title for the 3rd flim.

Iam the biggest fan of brendan fraser and the mummy films i have seen it more than 1000 times first and second part of the mummy. Now it wil be awesome to see my hero for 3 time in the mummy series

plz dont make this movie. It will just be the downfall of the Mummy franchise. Without the original characters in this it will suck. Alot of ppl hate when characters they are used to are not in a sequel of a movie. THis is just another crash0n-burn movie

The new mummy could be a hit but it a shame that the old characters are not in it.

Is Maria Bello going to try to speak with an accent?? I loved Rachel Weisz - she was amazing in the first two movies. I'm really disappointed she's not returning...which makes me wonder if the script is all that good.

I think it's ridiculous that they replaced Rachel Weisz - who reported early on when they were thinking of making the 3rd movie that she would be psyched to play her character again. Why the change?

also, the movie has new writers - the same writers from the CW's show Smallville - which sucks. mostly because of the writing.

The moment I read that Rachel Weisz wasn't going to be in it - I lost most of my excitement for this movie. ORIGINAL cast members are a MUST for any sequel. And if they're not in it -- REPLACING is THEE LAST STEP. Have Evy die or leave -- let there be a new wife in the picture - but don't try to replace a character and just hope all goes well. That was the worst idea ever conceived. The way Fraser, Weisz and the rest of the cast worked together is what MADE Mummy a hit.

Rachel Weisz is essential to this movie, i was pumped to see it, but when i began investigating the movie plot and cast, i was very disappointed when i saw this other chick on the list. I think this movie will not do as well as the others.

I, too, hate the fact that they gave Rachel Weisz the boot. She was amazing! And the fact that this other chick even tries to sound like her is really stupid. The movie looks great, but I would be less disappointed if they didn't release the movie for another few months and did it all over again with Rachel!

Totally dissapointing. I loved watching The Mummy 1 and 2 because of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. Now that Weisz is not in the movie, I think I'll just watch another film.

Mummy is the best movie i ever saw. Every one wants to know why Rachel Weisz has been opted out? The chemistry of Rachel Weisz and Brendan Fraser was amazing. It is very much disappointing that we wont be able to see her. She is the soul of the movie. i will miss her while watching Mummy 3.

I loved the mummy 1+2 because of the chemistry Brenden Fraser and Rachel Weisz had and now in mummy 3 thats not there. I think they should do another mummy 3 WITH Rachel Weisz in it.

I liked the film, but i hated that rachel Weisz wasnt in it and the person that played there son was awful, oh and john hannah didnt have enough lines, he was hillarious in the last 2 and In the last 2 Brendan Fraser played a more tough hero where as in this one they made him out that his life to be a bit boring.. there was no chemistry in there with the the new character tat played eve or the son at all. IM VOTING FOR A NEW MUMMY 3 WITH RACHEL WEISZ AND THE ATUALLY MUMMY FELLA..... PLEASE PLEASE

just watched yhe movie hours ago , what can i say .....the dialog r stupid,which make the actors look stupid...i'm a huge fans of brendan but i think he lost his charm and humour when he have to act with ' don't who is that rachel wannabe which she is trying so hard to be funny '....overall ....i think they have to pay huge amount of money to get rachel back is they r going to make the forth MUMMY in 'PERU'

If you haven't seen this movie don't waste your time..I loved the first two movies but this...it just sucks! (bad acting,bad script and stupid new characters, Evy was replaced) = Epic fail.

I'm not mad at Maria Bello, its not her fault at all, Im mad because I love The Mummy movies, and then they go and do a stupid risk like that.But I'm also very insulted cause the way the writers put Bello into the script, was like they were actually trying to fool the viewers into thinking that that was the same actress from the other movies, I could tell right off the bat that wasn't Rachel Weiz Nothing against Bello, I loved her in Coyote Ugly and in Flicka, but I am such a big fan of Rachel Weiz playing Evelyn that it ruined the movie for me. All and all I think the new mummy movie sucked, they should never change main characters and make it seem like the viewers are fools.

I cannot believe they chose Maria Bello~!!! I am the BIGGEST Mummy Fan EVER and they totally ruined the movie with her...she is NO Rachel Wiesz....the chemistry that her and Brendan share is unstoppable~! Why oh Why didn't she play the part this time????

The mummy 3 was the most horrific movie I have seen! How in the hell could they take out one of the main characters and replace them with a look alike that has no chemistry with brendan !!!!!!! They lost me right when I noticed she wasn't in it! I want my money back now!!!!! Horrible horrible horrible... their kid did not do justice for the kid in mummy 2! I hated it! Omg... they need to remake mummy 3, with its original cast!

i have loved all the movies brendan f...has been in...love the one where he and his parents have been in a bomb shelther for the last 30 years, but all the mummy movies are great..but i totally AGREE Rachel Weisz as a much better Evy. i really did not want to watch it b/c when i saw it wasn't Rachel i pretended it was her and enjoyed the movie.

RACHEL didnt come back in the 3rd one because she didnt like the script. The director of this film needs to be fired. It was a good film but it was nowhere near the potential it could have been. the storyline was weak, brendan's character sucked, evy sucked most of all and the son grew up way to fast. put the old director back on, reshoot the movie if you want, or you could make the mummy 4 with brendan char being more of himself, evy being Rachel Weiss and the son needs to be younger and have a British accent, not American! use some of Egypt in the script, i am pretty sure you can find a way to tie Egypt with Peru, or Mexico...wherever they are going in the next one. put more emphasis and concentration on the storyline and if you cant get Rachel back save yourself some money and kill her character cause if there's no Rachel then there need not be an Evy...and really the story needs Evy. dont forget to bring back the guy who was a Magi in the first 2. his name start with an O

I saw Mummy 3 and didn't enjoy it. It wasn't the same without Rachael Weiz playing Evey. I love Branden Fraser but Maria Bello didn't add anything to the movie. Without Rachael it wasn't the same.

Totally crap idea to replace Rachel's character. Killed the movie. I remember being at the cinema and being so pissed that I wanted to walk out of the theatre. No chemistry whatsoever between her and Brendan. She should have been a new character altogether- if at all. Brendan's character was weak. Bad script.
It stinks of wanting to make as much cash and not giving a toss about the loyal fans who purchased DVDs and went to the cinemas to watch once or multiple times. If you don't do it respectfully. Don't do it at all.

I just hope wheover writes these keeps writing more!
