I love the first two movies. Soon when i heard the third installment will be a reinvention of the first two movies, i'll think about it watching it.. We will see..

i must confess that the first mummy rock! but they faild miserably when they married the character! and give him a son, first rule of the action movies, dont put family in the middle unless they died or are in risk.

I am a major fan of the mummy series, but I'm afraid this last one may ruin the franchise for years! I read a review of the script and it's all about a chinese mummy of something!

i think that the mummy three is going to be a hit. i think the 2nd one was better then the 1st one. can't stop thinking aboutthe third

I just hope that they don't end going totally over the top like James Bond in the mid eighties. Things got pretty crazy in Mummy 2, what with the blimp thing and all.

I absolutely love the first 2 mummy movies, I think the thing that made me like them was the fact that it was set in Egypt. However, after hearing that it'll be about some chinese person, its kinda disappointing that it wont be set in Egypt again. I know it would be hard for them to think of another storyline to do with Egypt but i think that it being about a completely different place like China, it will turn some viewers off the movie because it will no longer have anything to do with Egypt, which attracted viewers to the first 2 movies!

My family loves the Mummy series: Mummy 1&2 and The Scorpian King. Key elements of these movies are its setting in Egypt (I can't remember where Scorpian King was, but it had a desert setting at least.), the actors, and of course the flares of humor --not stupid and crazy, but the blimp was borderline. If they decide to move the setting to China, I simply won't pay for the ticket and will be disappointed, and I agree that they probably would ruin the franchise for good. Taking away one of those key elements would ruin the movie for me...

I totally agree - you need the original characters to complete the sequel and make it successful. People feel ripped off when they go to see a sequel that has no name casts in replacement of the originals. Take for example, American Pie movies, Home Alone, Dumb and Dumber...etc etc. The producers know that the audience will not have that great of a review without original casting but they still waste their money producing it. Jurrassic Park had the right idea! The first movie rocked, the second was good and the third honestly I think was the best! That is the way to do it.
