Silly mortals still trying to understand what I mean by that, the logan boys are sooo sensitieve.
People haven't said much on logans side but the same ol', "it happened"
Anyways, its a plot device because it goes to the needs of each writer, and changes EXPONENTIALLY, much like batmans belt.
The problem with logan is he is soo over exposed and inconsistently written that he has become overrated.
Logan starts out with a healing factor, where he was a faster than a human healer, getting shot and other things still matterd, so he relied on his skill to win, and not run into all his hits. Now people think he survives a nuke.
Also, the best of logans matches were when he didn't use his claws to win, he was showing his BEST skill and willpower then, and it was GREAT writing.
Now, he's written poorly and overexposed. A comic failing, just put wolverine in it.
Face it, the xmen will NEVER make a comic series with a different cast, without putting wolverine in it. Why? Wolverine is a cash cow, and that is just the dirty truth.
He has GREAT potential and can be written as a foe, good guy, and everything, he has a good background.
What the writers do is try to appeal to the fanboys, and bend over backwards, making him overrated and sometimes a joke in the hardcore comic readers.

again....ignoring spiderman could do nothing else....he was at a lack options....you didn't school me on anything...I'm the one that posted the pics with that qute for everyone to see.....spiderman says he lets wolverine tackle him...why because nothing else was working and spiderman thought there was only one way to stop him seeing hw nothing else did any good..he tried to break logan's neck..the whole idea behind him letting wolverine tackle him was to break the guys neck because punches weren't doing anything.....can he break logan's neck? yup...maybe you should learn how sometime....spiderman says he can't get wolverine to stop smiling....we see wolverine saying here it comes than he starts taking spidey punches to the face....if he wanted to hurt spiderman he would have slashed at spiderman's incoming jackhammers....being hit in the head like that doesn't keep wolverine from flailing his arms...so we're left to assume that wolverine was doing exaclt what you said he was doing...trying to simply get up....which is evident when he DID get up....as he didn't stab spiderman in the tackle nor in his punch....he was holding back for spiderman's safety...if he wanted to get up...one or two slashes would be all he needed..also up close who has greater range...wolverine plus claws or spiderman's arms...wolverine could've just stabbed him....he didn't...he was holding back...a lot....

fetal....when wolverine's not fighting back....at all.........funny how that aspect of it changes things completely...........younger...a little bit...he was still very very very experienced in the super hero business....already took down some of his toughest foes to date by the time this came about....he was scared cause he knew what I know, one hit and it's over...spiderman DID try to web wolverine's arm before the fight got started....wolverine cut the webbing off...after they got in close spiderman could use the webbing...he didn't have enough time at that range..."I can't give him a second, he'll kill me".

spiderman assumed he could break wolvies neck..wolverine ASSUMED spiderman could do the same....just the same way you've ASSUMED spiderman can do it too....common sense dictates that the bones are not all interconnected by adamantium....too bad wolverine's character and comic books in general deviate from common sense...it's a known fact that wolverine's bones are bonded at the molecular level...unless spiderman has hulk level strength that I didn't know about, he wasn't about to break anything....cresh has covered this already..wolverine lied so he could stop the fight then and there without having to hurt anyone....

it's the same as the secret wars example...his opponents wanted to stop him..the only difference is..they didn't want to hold back using their best offensive weapons....the x-men did....if you consider secret wars the best example of a fight..than this should account for the same as it is the same exact scenario.....I'm trying to debate with you on your level...which is very hard to do thanks to all your contradictions and such.
you can't take away from the fact that wolverine's gotten out of webbing multiple times. that he's hit spiderman multiple time..and that he's got more going for him than you give him credit for...you say it doesn't count cause spiderman wasn't at his peak..when all three times logans humiliated him logan was holding back a TON.....are you aware that logan at his best is capable of putting down shingen, ogun, deathsrike, and sabretooth, and at the same time...AND in 4 seconds?
you seriously believe spiderman's ready to handle that at any level? I certainly don't....
in any case the discussion you and I are having over the graveyard fight as asserted to me the realization that THAT comic wasn't bad writing at all...they did exactly what good writers should do in that situation and made a fight where both spidey and logan look good to their respective readers without any referances to pis and such..I solute them....
