Wolverine is what.. 5'3"? You really think Spiderman can web up something as small as a face on a guy that small and agile while he's MOVING? Nah!

Strong as webbing is, its connection to someone is ONLY as strong as its connection to his skin. So while it may take 10tons to rip the webbing, it may only take 1/4ton to rip the skin off his face. & layers of skin (or less) is child's play compared to getting your whole face blown off.
Another thing, Spiderman is quicker than Wolverine but you people are assuming that translates directly to him being able to web him up. The REAL equation is:
Spidy reflexes + squirt web + time of web in air VS Wolvy reflexes

here you are assuming spidey can hit wolverine in the face. If spidey can then Logan will be disorientated, maybe for only a couple of seconds, but thats still enought time for spidey to web up his arms.........

How would you have drawn it? The writing and storyboard calls for you to draw wolverine cutting himself free in one panel. How would you make it look?

At least its not complaining about colors or line thicknesses, but pretty much the same concept.

Sure he can, all the contact points on his skin and costume take the skin/costume with them

web is over his fist so he pops out his claws, and it tears the web from that part..
