The Mister, I think you're not taking into account that strength isn't very important in this fight... sharpness makes strength not necessary.
Also, Wolverine is written for teens as well. Because of this, arms and heads don't go flying every time he swings. His claws can cut through "steel like a hot knife through butter" so what do you think he would do to Spiderman's "dense" flesh?

Wolverine does not display feats that are far beyond that of Captain Americas unless they're feats of recovery. His physical prowess is comparable to Deadpool, Cable, Cap, Daredevil, White Tiger, and lets not forget Puck who is probably superior to Wolverine in agility and dexterity and strength.All attempts to put Wolverine on a physical level above these people has been made by his enthusiastic fans but never by his creators for no bio supports claims of being able to lift more than a ton or as far as I know even half of that. He is blindingly inferior to Spider-man when it comes to strength. Comparing the two is a joke. 😎
Wolverines durability is another power that has been made stronger by fan enthusiasm and not actual powers. His flesh ( Not his bone ) is similar to Deadpools, and Captain Americas, not Rouge and Doc Samsons. Hulk punches are obviously censored due to who the comics are meant for ( kids ) put an impact that can demolish a tank with ease would seperate a humanoid torso from over 50% of the liquid in it's body, even a superhuman like Spider-mans. Wolverines muscles are 90% weaker than Spider-mans and a hulk punch would kill Spider-man if he had a adamantium skeleton.
If Wolverine is supposed to have a chance against Spider-man then he must be given more powers than his creators have ever given him. Spider-man must be in character/ the automatic underdog, and webbing must be altered so that Spider-man is clumsy with it and it's far, far weaker than usual. Also lets erase the Spider-sense so that it's no longer the extra advantage that it is against opponents other than Wolverine.
If you're thinking outside of the T-rated box (Lobo) you realize that WEAK characters like Cap and Wolverine are as easy to splat as a tough skinned plum. His healing factor doesn't give him 15% of Spidey's muscle density or he'd be 15% as strong and he's not.
His healing factor can be easily overwhelmed and here's bio supported evidence

Spider-man must be dumbed down to have trouble with Wolverine. The Spider-sense has to dissapear and webbing must be made weak and innafective. Wolverine must be given durability like the hulks ( Even though Doc Samson is bulletproof and is far less durable than the hulk)
His agility and reflexes are far superior to that of Caps and Cap could dodge Wolvrine for a good while. Especially if Cap had a Spider-sense.
He is many many times Cap's superior when it comes to evasive manuevers, possesing a nigh perfect equilibrium and a contortionists flexibility.
Wolverine is not more dangerous than an accurate gun and bullets are faster than Wolverine. Spider-man and DD are two bullet dodgers that do not rely on any luck to dodge the bullets, Unlike Cap and Batman who need armor just in case they get hit by a stray.
The webbings enough to end this fight easy though...
A hand delivered web ball to Wolverines face blinds Wolvy and allows him to get webbed up completely in no time, tight enough so that he can't free himself with his claws.
Webbing in the face= hands go to face
Hands go to face= Hands get webbed to face
Hands get webbed to face= disabled body gets cocooned
Completely cocooned = Wolverine can be drained of his vital fluids similar to a real spiders prey.

You know who he's screwed but you don't know how strong he is? His depiction in the MOvie doesn't resemble the character you describe but it fit right in with his given abilities....
