So you actually believed that statement or was wolverine hyping spiderman up. Thanos also showed signs of fearing the hulk but he also slapped the hulk around like a rag doll.
I don't see how it could be character induced stupidity on anyone's part....
Nor how it could be PIS, as it isn't really needed to further the plot...
Hell, I'm not even saying that Spidey wins that way. In my opinion, if Spidey got close for long enough to get a good hold of Wolverine and snap his neck, he'd already have at least three gaping slash wounds.
However, I'd say it's within Spidey's ABILITY to snap Wolverine's neck. 😬.

You make it sound like Wolverine isn't going to affected in the slightest by Spidey's hits, when we know he would be, just because its extremely hard to KO Logan doesn't mean he isn't going to feel 20 ton punches wailing on him.

Well if your gonna be like that you could then say it was PIS that the Hulk couldn't break Wolverines Spine when Sabertooth could. 😛

1st thing sebatian isnt weaker than spiderman, hes alot stronger especially when he absorbs kinetic energy. Second sebastian never fought wolverine, he seems to run from wolverine when he sees him knowing that wolverine could pierce his tuff hide because he cant absorb adamantium claws like he does super strength. Spidey NEVER had the capabilities of knocking wolverine out. Wolverine laughed at spiderman best effort and in marvel knight # 13 he just sat down while spiderman punched on him telling spiderman that he dont want to hurt him.
