It's fanbased voting but who said any of the comic fans were fans of Wolverine or Spiderman?
Isn't there just the smallest, tiniest, most minute possible chance that ANY of the voters were just making their choice based on who they thought was more powerful? I'm sorry if it contradicts your opinion; but others can voice theirs through the poll.
I for one, would consider myself an X-men fan over Spiderman any day. Which by your assumptions, would lead me to vote Wolverine. However, I picked Spiderman simply because I felt that Spiderman had what it takes to win the fight. I don't regularly pick up any Spiderman comics at all. So you can't really accuse me of being a fan of his.
And you should check the votes. It's overwhelmingly Spiderman. Sorry to spoil the results.
The poll is not ideal, i'll give you that. Presidential Elections arn't ideal either; but you still can't toss away the results.

hmm there is a limit to everything before it before it becomes unbalanced, I never said you were totally unbalanced, its okay to respond to other peoples post its all about being considerate, you hurt guys feelings............
Anyway on this, there is a clear showing on wolvies limits to injury, it takes him hours to heal from a gunshot and such. Anyway, he is usually boosted before a match from the hulk because he should be hurt for a while. He then takes days to recover from a good explosion, he isn't juggernaut, he just recovers from a lot, albeit slowly. he is kind of like the zerg in starcraft, really tough, but can be killed and hurt by others on or above their levelin terms of offense.

And there are other types as well. The people who actually take the time to think about these things are actually fewer than the others.
People who absolutly love one or the other and want to always see them win will also vote for the one they prefer.
Because people who like one more than the other will vote for the one they like more.
And even the people that hate them both but hate one more than the other will vote for the one they hate less.
and others who absolutly hate one or the other and always want to see one lose will vote for the one they hate's opponent.
Not everyone who votes in these really thinks about it. That's the way democracy works. That's how Lobo was beaten by wolverine.
