man i loved that game! imo it paved the road for all these new free roam spidy games. alot of the concepts were brought in from this game.

Pfft off-panel with a huge-ass sonic generator in the middle of the room to which Venom has a weakness. Venom kicked his ass in the animated series. That's way cooler. And dont even get me started on the comicbooks.

PS: Spider-man 2 for PS2 best Spider-man game of all times. EVEN better than the one for psx.

You mean TAS? He overpowered him twice in those episodes. Also there is that scene in Dormammu's hideout..

In TAS I only remember them stalemating and Carnage dragging his ass into different dimension 😛

Comics... in Carnage Unleashed Venom looked almost as bad as Wolverine after his fight with WWH and in the issue drawn by Clayton Crain Brock got owned, too 😎

Cletus was nigh invulnerable to Spidey's attacks in that game. It would take literally hours to beat him without resorting to a plot device.

Gameplay huh? Well if you wanna go down that road, Venom wasnt beaten after losing his first healthbar, not even hurt. You had to fight him again. And even then he wasnt koed. So basically he had 2 full healthbars plus some health to spare for the cutscenes.😛

You remember it wrong. Both comics and series. Venom tossed him into the portal and willingly jumped after him to safe the chick. In Unleashed they fought through the net and had a tie.

And dont think I dont know what you're doing Stilt. Trying to get me and CM to argue.😒 Spider-man still wins everything and there's an on-panel proof that 5 Spider-men can beat Galactus so there. uhuh

That was in the lab, and Carnage did fight back there too. Then there's the one when Cletus attacks him in Dormammu's hideout and Venom knocks him into a wall. And the last fight where Venom webbed his head and was tossing him all over the room before BFRing him. Ive watched this so many times I can basically quote every line.😛

Venom kept running off, Carnage chased Spider-Man to the end of the Earth, that's the difference.

They hit each other a few times, but Venom hit him unwarranted first, because he's scared of him. He never gets a clean victory.

In the hideout Carnage attacked first and got slammed into a wall.

I am heartbroken. 'cause Venom didnt get to finish him. Its a kids show after all. "Now there's only Venom!" 😛

He had enough time to recover to 100% for their next battle. And you're forgetting about the brief encounters in the sewers 😛

But even if we take into account all that, he was still vastly less durable than Kasady.
