Classical?

Does anyone listen to classical music anymore, or is all 'bout your rockn'roll and your rap? I listen to rockn'roll but I also listen to classical. In fact, I'm listening to it right now.

I like MARS!!! It's funny that you brought this up, because I had a vision that someone had posted a topic on Classical music. Carnival of the Animals is one I love, and Rite of Spring.

anyhow...the classical era's all right...my favourite is baroque, though. ^^ and then the romantics...and then the contemporaries....and THEN classical. ^_~ (though, admittedly, there are some GORGEOUS classical themes that i absolutely adore---beethoven wrote some pretty wicked stuff. ^^)

my orchestra played the planets a few years back. the col legno at the beginning of Mars is REALLY cool when you hear it live. *nod nod* recordings don't do it justice

I love all types of music (well except country), and my favourite piece of music is Vivaldi's four seasons, it moves me every time I listen to it.
Other favourites include, 'peer gynt', 'hallalueah chorus', and although you cant say its classical 'War of the worlds', does anyone know what genre that would come under?

I love loads of classical stuff, my fav piece is probably Barbers Adagio for strings it just totally chills me out.
I also like playing classical pieces on guitar my fav is the John Williams version of Cavatina by Stanley Myers.

Barber's adagio for strings is one of my favourites, plus i love the remix of it, two songs for one, class

*nods* i like to listen to baroque music when i'm studying. calms me down (well, that depends on the piece, really...*lol* but the ones i choose help me relax and focus on my work)

Hmm interesting....

i listen to classics. I like listening to louis armstrong sometimes...a lot other. (not elvis or anything related, god forbid..)

i listen to it while studying or when im bored (beethoven, mozart..etc)

I like listening to modern classical music like the ones in Gladiator or Braveheart.

classical music is so relaxing and at the same time very inspiring to me, it flows thorugh all of my emotions. The only other music that does that for me is led zeppelin
