...and my son listened a lot when it was younger...well he only have three - coz it is cientifical proved that classical music aid to develop babies brain 🙂

For the most part im a punk junkie, but i do get into some classical and old jazz from like the 30's and 40's. Good music is good music, no matter what genre its in.

classical is like it's name

yea ur right, curl up & die, good music is good music

You guys talked about Barber's Adagio for Strings, which is nice, but anyone heard Overture to the School for Scandal? It's my favorite Barber - something I played in an honors group back in high school.

I listen to a lot of classical saxophone - well a lot of what's there, as the entire library doesn't really constitute a lot. That's stuff like Ibert's Concertino Da Camera, Creston's Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano, Dahl's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Concert Band, Glazunov's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra, William Bolcom's Concert Suite for Alto Saxophone and Band... Really, I just listed half the repretoire. 😂

Has everyone here heard Johann De Meij's Lord of the Rings Symphony? That was a rather fun-to-play soprano solo...

I really like Beethoven's 7th symphony. I like it more than any other classical piece I've ever heard and I've been unable to find anything else that even compares to it, to be honest. Then again, classical's not really my thing.

I have Pachabel's Canon in D minor on, right now.

I don't know how people can hate it in the first place. Everyone should love classical music.

Paganini
Tchaikovsky
Aram Khacathurian

my favorites^

I like Brahms, Tchaikowski, and Dvorak the most. I've also been getting into Hindemith recently.

For some reason classical composers always have the hardest names to pronounce.

Canon in D!!

And spell...

It's because so many are Russian or eastern European. ✅

Actually many were Italian, French and German. Any name is hard for Americans to pronounce. 🙂

Bela Bartok.
Dvorak
Nikoli Rimsky-Korsokov

I know that... I just think it's harder to figure out that there's a "j" sound in "Dvorak" than it is to sound out "Debussy".
