yea this movie looks almost like a joke so far the trailer was just plain silly

yah b ut if you guys think about it, it's not a remake. It's based off of Roald Dauhl's book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (sorry if I mispelled his name) His books are great, and its probaly gonna be a children's movie. But Tim Burton as the director... geeze he made it look like the GOTHIC version of it.

Once I think about it yes it is a remake. Considering there's already a film called "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory", and it's based on the same story.

could be great, but honestly, doesnt have a hope of beating the original...

had a lot of hope before i saw the trailer.. the original strayed from the book a good deal.. burtan going back and doing with with 2 great cast members that i know of.. if it went a darker way it could have been better.. really not sure now

hello it is a kids movie it's based on a kids book.Burtons movies dont always have to be dark to be good I dont remember the adventures of pee wee herman being dark.CATCF is just going to be a fun summer movie.I think it will be great the movie looks twisted but in a light way.

Tim Burton is a great director. CATCF looks good, sort of. The teaser trailer to me was a bit odd, but hopefully the "full" trailer will be better (?). I dunno. I was always a fan of Johnny Depp as well, and it's a good chance he'll make a great Wonka.

Just my opinion. (The trailer still looks cheesy.)

The other movie is actually called 'Willy Wonka & the chocolate factory'

The pictures don't look to good.

The kids are way too young.

yes he is willy wonka and the kid who played peter in finding neverland plays charlie (at depps request)

weird johnny depp and tim burton are good friends and it was my understanding that this was depps part since burton decidede to do it

But I think Depp could match it if they made him more white-faced and gothic...in fact, they shouldv'e made this remake all around darker. 😉

willy wonka made candy for kids not S&M equipment the candy man shouldnt be goth and scare children..

How rad would it be if this movie WAS made gothic, though?? 😱

with tim burton behind it, it could be cool to make it dark but i think dark and gothic are different i wouldnt want trench coats.. thats lame... id want a dark directing style.. but the goal of this movie from what ive heard is to be closer to the book then the older movie was
