I love both Aragorn and Jack Sparrow and am a big fan of the movie POTC and the movies and books of the LOTR. Even though I actually like Jack better I would ahve to say Aragorn would win in a fair fight. But who said Jack plays fair?
lol yea.. so Captain Jack Sparrow would win
It's Captain, Captain Jack Sparrow ppl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, I'm quite new here and as I was reading your responses to the question 'Who would win in a fight of Jack Sparrow vs. Aragorn' I almost died of laughter and that's why I join this board.
In my own opinion, I think clearing out the odds should be done before making a decision. We are comparing their fighting skills are we not? And them in general, not their personalities or how they act, right?
Jack Sparrow - an intermediate swordsman and a wild pistol shooter. Yet his mind is a very beautiful on indeed, quite my favorite in the Pirates of the Caribbean film.
Continuation ---
Aragorn, Estel, Strider, Longshanks, Wingfoot, Elessar, Elfstone, Thorongil, Telcontar, Isildur's Heir, The Renewer and the The Dunedain - He is a direct descendant of the Numenorean's lifespan can conjure up to 300 years. Aragorn has a strong will and amazing swordsman skills. He is known for his skills from being a Dunedain ranger.
Also, to answer your guys' debate on if Aragorn has a bow or not, yes he does. Though his skills aren't perfect as like Legolas', Aragorn prefers to use his sword Anduril, the formerly Elendil's sword, Narsil.
Now the subject of Aragorn being 'aragant'. It's arrogant guys. Ok now, it's ok if Theoden is called arrogant because he can get away with that, and he's been around that royal type all his life, now for Aragorn he is far from arrogant.
Firstly, Aragorn does not think that he's all high and mighty and when he becomes king and takes charge of everything that's because he must do it if there was any hope left in Middle Earth to fight against Sauron's and Saruman's forces.
In my personal opinion, I really think that Aragorn would hold victor over Captain Jack Sparrow but Jack is slightly comin' into 2nd place, if we're allowed to say there was a 2nd place.

Jack against Aragorn, Jack using the pistol/gun with 1 bullet. Well let's see, since I've been referring to Aragorn after he became king and all that and it's the end of the series, I would think it'd be fair if I referred to Jack the same way.
Kes, you're right, Jack has been saving that bullet for Barbossa. And so how about get more ammo?
Well say they just suddenly run into each other and decide to fight, Jack wouldn't be able to fill his pistol then, and it's a very old early 1700's gun which really does need alot of perfect aim or good karma to hit it's target on first shot.
And, Aragorn also has a very good way of reflectin things, hence the scene where Aragorn reflects the knife that Celeborn gave to him, which was thrown by an uruk.
Jack's Cutlass versus Aragorn's Anduril, Jack's rutty 1700's sword that's quite thin and Aragorn's reforged king sword, I would assume that Aragorn would win.
I really do love Jack, I honestly do. I am just saying my opinion on who would win a battle, and I really do think Aragorn would win. Jack just doesn't have it. He's not that warrior type kind of person.
One more thing about nerds...I am one, and damn proud. One question to i_am_not_sad. If you think that we're nerds and we should get a life instead of on the computer, then why are you on a computer and why are you even here on this board?? Wouldn't that classify you as 'nerd' also?
well considering Jack Sparrow isnt ALWAYS a drunkin pirate.. i think Jack would win.. but not for that reason.. because yes.. he does seem to be naturally drunk.. but.. if Aragorn were to kill Jack.. his GHOST, not immortality, can still fight.. everyone knows that a pirates ghost can still fight.. so therefor.. Aragorn may have won the first time around.. but Jack comes back in the end...
nevermind Aragorn's non aragant ways.. He wouldnt have accepted Jack's request to fight.. because.. well.. we all know that Aragorn would make an awsome king.. and knows to fight for whats right.. not for the hell of it.. ya know? so therefor i think it all balances out..
any debations?
