I'm always surprised when people say they liked Val Kilmer's Batman.

Taken into the context of the overall theme of his movie he was pretty good.

They made him too bulky, if he had the same physique that he had in Good Will Hunting it would have been better.

He was supposed to be DKR Batman, he was bulky in the comic.

They did a comedy skit forget where, but they were saying that today's superheros are all nerds. And that the requirements to be a bulky fit superhero had declined dramatically.
