You fend off the Orc's riposte with ease, as another comes up to the top of the ladder, though not quite over yet. With a roar, the Orcs manage to force the issue on a second ladder on the east wall as well, and the first one climbs over to engage the ladder guards.
Another also climbs up to the west.
No luck for you, Vardalain. The cacophony of hacking against the front gate now turns to loud clangs as their weapons hack at the metallic braces in the door structure. One of Baranar's men up top is shot down, though they manage to get another Orc in return.

You will note I have been giving time for others to post, based on the group size. Before long I'll simply start cutting down on the group size by ruling out the obvious non-posters and we can pick up the pace. We can expect Phoe back soon, and I think AA too. Not sure what the Red_Drake situation is.
I'm going to put the shields back to 25. Also corrected Palanfirth's defensive skill with the knives out.
Also altering the spear-wielding Orc's offensive scores to represent them using them 2-handed. They are quite harsh on the attack for early level characters but unarmoured and without a shield you can hack them down pretty fast.
Argentis, no, you would have to move over to the NW tower.
BTW, Corlindel, if you want to spend a turn trying to buck up morale instead of fighting, you may do that- Please ask and I will make a Presence roll for you. It is the kind of thing Baranar is doing right now.
Talking of Baranar, he has run to the inner courtyard by the gatehouse, where he is organising men to resist in case of a breakthrough.

Palanfirith, as far as I knew those were not throwing knives, and it would be at a penalty to throw a non-throwing weapon. Added to which, your skill at throwing weapons is abysmal!
The Orc moves in and stabs at you, Palanfirith, but in your agile stance you dodge his thrust.
Another two Orcs get up west, and those trying to cover the ladders there are now becoming overwhelmed. However, one of the attackers there is killed by a blow to the head.
The rock slide is being loaded again.

I suppose I will not be attacked in this turn but if so: Corlindel steps back to a covered position - if necessary use shield to block an orc attack - and prepares to make a powerful attack 😈
An enormous shout of anger resounds in eastern wall. It comes from Corlindel.
Baranar turn their eyes to him, only seeing a Corlindel's grey eyes shinning behind the dark helmet, and for a moment they recover their vigor and courage when they see what seems to be a Noldo of the ancient lays of Beleriand:
