Okay, I think if we chuck something over the side, we'll be able to kill a few more. Of course, there are those axememn.... Damn!

Alright, time for Darvan to learn a new skill... He'll crouch down and try to heave a corpse over the side so that it knocks a few off.

Any ideas of how many we'll be facing?

Palanfirith gets another shot at things up top, bringing down a wounded Orc.

The Orcs strike once more, and Baranar's men there are on the verge of giving out.

However, whilst one nearly fumbles his sword, the next gives an enormous hack that almost cleaves an Orc in two. Baranar kills a third, though I am afraid both Argentis and Andromir fail to kill again! Two more rise up.

To the North, another Orc is shot down as they continue to hack their wider hole. Their archers have given up now, subsuming into the main force.

Strength roll for Darvan... a 95! Good going. The falling body takes three of the swarming Dunlendings off the wall with it, as Corlindel hacks down a fourth, Vardalain shoots a fifth, Baranar's archers kill two more, and his guards kill a eigth as he rises.

The axemen begin their throwing. One gets a bullseye on one of Baranar's guards! He is hit in the head and dies at once- tough break. One misses Corlindel by the merest inch, and there is a surprisingly good shot on Vardalain as well... but he is harder to hit than the others.

The swarming mass rises, and a Dunlending is up and over the battlements.

TPTs. Whilst he is there you can see all four walls and what goes on there... but there are other things he could be doing as well.

You can try the body trick, but you may be at risk of undefended attack, Darvan. Especially with your knackered arm, yeah?

Corlindel slashes strongly the dunlending who is over the battlementes from a safe place of the axemen if possible, if not after the attack he moves fast some steps back to a safe place and blocks the dun.

(My quiver is full Dexx and I am near you)

Ush: How many dunlendins are throwing aces?

Actually, they all have throwing axes in lieu of shields or two-handed weapons, so asusme there are always enough to target all of you.

Ok, lessee...

To the North, the Orcs continue to hack out a larger hole, as two more are shot down from above.

To the West, the fight drags on. One of Baranar's men is speared, and an Orc is hacked down in return. Baranar kills a second- and Andromir, you impale a third! Argentis, you finally hack down the one you were struggling with at the ladder also. Still more reinforcements arriving at the base there...

Now Baranar's man with the billhook, who took the ladders on the east wall, has arrived at the west. Two more Orcs come on up.

To the south... Darvan kills another climber, as do Baranar's guards. A third is actually killed by his comrades in the mass scramble, knocked off the wall in error; a risk in their tactic. The archers take out two more but will soon be hard pressed, in the scramble, to fire at all!

Corlindel, you move to engage, which leaves you safe from the axes for now. The Dunlendings growls and flicks his axe at you- but you take the clumsy blow easily on yuor shield. The speed of his attack surprised you, though... an 07 in return from you achieves little.

Two more Dunlendings scramble up; they are both met by Baranar soldiers.

Vardalain, you are here... you seem to have wondered into a fight. Corlindel is a tad busy right now.

things seem to be looking up on the w wall.... the south and north however are quickly becoming the new critical locations... probably the last stage of the offence will be fought there... Andromir hits another orc...while maintaining his position.
