I am afraid the quiver exchange rules you out of fighting for the turn, Corlindel. Also stops you moving until next turn, Vardalain.

To the North, another Orc is killed by arrow fire form above. Another two rush the gap; Baranar's archers, firing in relays, are not quite so effectgive this volley. One is killed another wounded.

To the west, Palanfirith fires again, badly wounding an Orc in the arm. However, a timely thrust by an Orc takes Baranar for a 14 point stamina loss! The wounded Orc is then missed, but the other killed. a single replacement rises as Andromir and Argentis both struggle with their opponents trying to rise.

To the south, as Corlindel and Vardalain do their switch, the Dunlendings and Baranar's guards fight. A Dunlendings loses an arm and falls; another is injured, Darvan easily finishes him, and three more rise. Four others are killed as they scramble up.

Palanfirith, all the supplies like that are stockpiled at the Gatehouse.

The Orc continue to force the gatehouse. One more is show down from above, and the new volley kills the wounded Orc, but only wounds one of the new ones to come through, and the other is unharmed. Two Orcs are now dashing through the gatehouse.

To the west... Baranar's guards are both hit. But the wounded Orc is killed, and one of the guards goes to contest the third ladder- though only after the replacement gets up. Argentis kills another.

Vardalain, you withdraw back to the towr, though bear in mind your only good shots from there are at the crowd, not the wall climbers.

Darvan and the guards take out three climbers between them this turn, two more killed by archers, and a sixth from attrition. Corlindel, your struggle with your opponent is inconclusive. One of the Dunlendings slips over on a patch of blood and is easily dispatched by a guard- but two more rise up over the battlements.

Ok, here goes...

To the North, the Orcs scent progress and redouble their efforts. One more is shot down from above, and another in the gatehouse, before one is nearly inside; Baranar's waiting men slam the inner gates shut.

To the west, the Orcs attack. A HUGE roll from one takes down another Guard, but Baranar drops one in turn. Andromir kills a climber; none rise. Now the climbing Orcs hesitate...

South. One dies from falling, Vardalain shoots another, the archers a third, the guards kill a fourth. I assume Darvan's instructions are to keep attacking the climbers rather than the climbed. he takes a fifth.

The Dunlendings attack, but they are really off-form, and achieve little. Mind you, the guards only wound one in return! And you manage a stamina loss of 12 on yours, Corlindel. Two more have risen; one more guard comes away from attacking the climbers to help.

Ok Palidan, you come down to the Courthouse to look for something. Updates from the North are now not possible.

Darvan begins to attack those who have climbed up.

You hear the Inner gates slam shut, Roan, and the noise as the boiling oil Baranar has prepared is poured into the gatehouse, but then you lose track of things- you find a full wine barrel.

To the west- Baranar smashes down the last Orc up top... and the others give up. They retreat down the ladders and start to break away. West wall is secure!

To the South... Vardalain shoots one hillamn, the other archers another, the guards kill a third rising, a fourth goes down from attrition.

The savages strike at their foes. One gets a cut, the second actually drops his weapon (DOH!), the third misses, the fourth gets in a solid blow. The fifth and sixth fail again to make any impact on Corlindel or Darvan.

In return, one Baranar guard wounds, the second easily dispatches his unarmed opponent, the third misses, the fourth drops his wounded opponent. Corlindel cannot seem to make much headway on these nimble foes, and Darvan clashes inconclusively as well...

... and three more rise up!
