Ok then folks, you are off! You will actually be riding with Annphor and Gorlim for a little while. But, as luck will have it, you are not hassled all the way to Bree. The road seems oddly clear of Dunlendings! Any plans in Bree, or moving on at once?
Those of you who have stayed behind- Baronar has sent out what scouts in good health he can find to judge the threat or, hoping against hope, that this is a false alarm. The Scouts soon confirm that the bandits have disappeared from the road as well. All the Dunlendings in the local area are coalescing.
You will need to make defence plans.
Ok, you guys are skipping around Bree. This means a low food strategy but that might not be a bad idea!
Ok, now you have your LONG journey down the Great East/West road. Now, what will be your approach to that? Ride healong down it as a group? Send out people as scouts? Ride parralel to, but not ON it? Your choice.
Meanwhile, back at the barn...
The fortress is quite mighty but it needs manning. You have lots in the way of boiling oil, rocks to through, and that sort of thing, but it is all useless unless someone can chuck the stuff.
The walls are scalable but it would not be easy. You should be able to pust ladders away... again, IF you can man the battlements.
Siege weaponry would be troublesome but they won't have any- they are a 'light' force. However, a mass assault on the front gates. with battering ramns, could yield results.
Frankly, you are not going to survive an assault unless Vardalain gets back with a cure. So you need to try and delay any possible assault as long as possible. Any ideas?
