If you are using the boiling oil, Anglomir, that means an assault has started. You know you cannot hold against a full assault like that. You need to delay the time of the assault as much as possible- to give Vardalain time.

But the enemy army hasn't formed yet, giving you plenty of options. Once they are here, your options rapidly start to diminish.

Of course...

"Lord Baronar, I will go to find an Orc encampment, to stir up some trouble and reduce their numbers as best as I can. I will go by horseback, so you'll see me coming when I return."

"William, would you like to come with me? You are good with a bow, and your help would be much appreciated."

"Make sure it's a small one," says Baronar. "Last thing you want to do is run into their main force! Other than that, anything you can do will be welcomed. I can send a few men with you if you wish."

"The few men would be appreciated..." William says, grabbing his short sword, bow, and arrows. "Also, a few arrows as well!"

"And of course I will come, Anglomir! I feel like I have been useless during this journey except for cowering from the Barrow Wights."

Well, he can offer five men- three swordsmen and two archers. He can provide you arrows a plenty!

"I will stay here, if you don't mind. I'm not comfortable with horses, and that Barrow Wight nearly ran me through..."

Yes, you can be recovering in this time, Talin...

William gets on his pony and leaves the fortress, waiting just outside for the 5 men and Anglomir.

Anglomir rides out on his borrowed steed and follows, shield on his back and sword in it's sheath.

"Well, let's start searching. Look for any camp fires or smoke..." Anglomir orders.

Err, are you? Last I had from you, Dexx, was 'whatever you guys decide'. So I was waiting on one of you guys to confirm something!

Ok, hunting party, you are looking for Orcs rather than Dunlendings, yes? How far from Baronar are you prepared to go? Anywhere in particular you are going to look?

As Dexx said there is no point to lose important time...so..

"Let's search near the Downs, shall we?" William suggests. "Ignore the Dunlendings unless they spot us, and search for Orcs by day only. They sleep during the day, so it gives us an advantage."

No, this isn't about you going, this is about your approach to the East-West road. You made one suggetion, then Dexx said "whatever you guys decide". You guys haven't decided anything, so until you do you aren;t riding anywhere!

Do people agree to go looking near the Downs?
