James MArster should play him. He is tall his hair is acctually brown and he can play a darn good accent. Ever heard his french. MEOW
He'd better be able to play an American Southerner, specifically a Cajun, because Gambit is not French. Spread the word to all the children-- Gambit is not French and would not in any way be helped by having a Frenchman play him. If the casting director think that being French is an asset, it means they've failed to see the character as he is. They don't need a real Cajun, either, just someone who can play one. Any actor can be taught the few words of French Gambit spouts during speech.

Ah! So it's the equivalent of "preppie"! That's Cyclops, through and through. I don't think it's a very preppie look in and of itself, it being a militaristic, black, foam-rubber/leather bodysuit and all. You're right that it was used to cover his costume, but I don't think from the audience. I think it's because he's walking into a federal prison facility with a costume and a battle visor on and the least he could do is wear a coat so he doesn't look like a superhero. Cyclops's costume in the comics wasn't bad, but it's nothing special and it's not complicated, so I'm okay with his costume being as bland as it is. I'd have preferred that they went with blue and gold or black and gold as the team colors, because black is great but over-used and those were the colors in the comics. Storm looks good in black, but needless to say, I wouldn't mind seeing her in her original black costume. Come on, guys, you know the one I'm talkin' about. Time for a swim! 😎

I think that shane west might be able to pull off gambit. HE was in League of extraordinary Gentlemen and that was based on a comic just like x-men. And he's younger and hotter than the other candidates so he can mesh with Anna better and be the man's man that he is in the comics.
Shane West barely pulled off a Missouri accent in the movie, and he's actually Southern. Tom Sawyer was not in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. That crap was dreamed up by some jackass who wrote the movie-- not the writer of the comic. Alan Moore didn't even see the movie based on his work, and I'm sure even he wanders out of his cave often enough to see a movie worth watching. The comic is about British literature on narcotics, not Mark Twain stories watered down. Even though Sawyer didn't belong in the movie, the character has teh funniest way of speaking I've ever heard, and they left that out. Shane West was blander than a naked piece of matzoh. He'd be bland as Gambit.
I think your idea for Quicksilver is interesting, though.
Spike isn't going to be in the movie. Jesus Christ... Spike isn't an X-Men character. He was created on X-Men: Evolution, and in addition to being a lousy character on a lousy kid's cartoon, his disgusting powers are a rip-off of a real X-Men character's. Thank you very much, Kids' WB, for introducing a whole new generation of people to this watered-down, childish, pop-trash version of the X-Men. Unfortunately, they get a taste of absolute crap, they want more, and they want to impose that on a medium that should only feature the real X-Men. Feh...
