Who should play Gambit?

Kes, I appreciate the thought, but don't tell people "no bashing" when they have not personally attacked me. They protested my bashing of their beloved show, but they didn't bash me.
They ended Evolution? Great. That show is for vapid pre-teens, but at least it was something to balance the whole kiddie-anime deluge that sweeps cartoon programming every day. Since the Batman/Superman cartoons got cancelled, I don't bother keeping up with Kids' WB. If they don't feature the new Batman cartoon on Cartoon Network, I'll have to put up with those stupid commercials again on WB.

BOP, they put a Chinese actor in the list. If he got chosen, they would have to make his eyes look exactly like Gambit's (black with red pupils) to make him pass for the character, and he'd better master the Cajun accent right quick. IN all fairness, if they made him up right with contact lenses and/or special effects, got his hair right, and trained him to speak the lines with the proper Southern accent, he could actually do it. But considering that Hugh Jackman, who looks enough like Wolverine already, doesn't act or talk like him, I have no faith that somebody who doesn't look like Gambit can pull it off. The best we can hope for is for those memorabilia sculptors to perform plastic surgery on a real Cajun 24-year-old. These producers aren't very concerned with authenticity. A Chinese actor playing Gambit. That's a bit like casting Heath Ledger to play the Japanese mutant Sunfire or Hillary Duff to play Jubilee, isn't it?

And if Michael Vartan gets chosen for Gambit, I will absolutely break my New Year's resolution not the murder anybody.

Look the cajun accent is not that difficult. All you need is a dialect coach.But definitely no Chinese or Japanese actor.

Did you know that when they casted the voice actors for the X-Men cartoon (the Fox one, not that sissified pre-teen trash "Evolution"😉, they tried out real Cajuns for Gambit and couldn't understand any of them? That's why they just went and casted Chris Potter ("Kung Fu: the Legend Continues) instead. I guess he did a decent job.

I mean i love him dearly, but could he pull off the big tough gambit.
Orlando has some muscles but looks like a sissy.
