Okay, after many hours of meditation I have finally cracked the Luke-eating thing.

For one: he didn't really eat. He took a bite and decided he hated it. Now, since he didn't really have a "meal" or eat more than a bite, he doesn't die.

Two, the fact that food in SW has lethal capacities is indeed demonstrated in ESB. Luke gets a major injurie i.e. his hand gets chopped off. The very same hand he used to put the spoon in his mouth. So one bite doesn't kill you, but it will lead to a major injury.

Food Theory Rules!!!

Right, ok, now we are pulling things together...

Mind you, that's still lose, because loads of people have bad things happen to them in SW, and the common link isn't always food.

I think it might just be food that Luke has. Because Yoda tried to steal his rations and look what happened to him!

Well, Queeq has very much defined it now as proper eating, not just snacks. Meanwhile I'm still working on the Skywalker food is bad theory...

Well in epi 1, obi wan ate smi's cooking and he died!

Yeah, we know all that. Though as I say, that means notihng, because just about EVERYONE in the PT dies, so trying to find common factor is impssible.

Well so does Anakin and Smi and Padme will too inevitably!

Yeah, we know ALL that. But as I say, EVERYONE goes down in the PT, eating or not. Obi-Wan hasn't eaten yet, has he? So common factor is impossible.

He has two episodes to make it through without eating yet!
