No, Elrond is not Galadriel's son.
He is the son of Earendil and Elwing, bearers of the Silmaril; he's the great-grandson of the King of Gondolin (*love Gondolin*) and great-great-grandson of Elwe High King of the Sindar and Melian the Maia.
Galadriel is the daughter of Finarfin and Earwen, daughter of Elwe's brother Olwe.
Galadriel's only children are Arwen's mother Celebrían and (according to one story) Amroth (who is in an other story son of Amdír Lord of Lórien).
no they do not sleep in tents...... if u saw the extended version then u saw the temporary camp the elves had in the trees.........i think that the elves of lothlorien live in trees
The remainder of the fellowship slept in tents cause they are not as comfortable in the trees.

hypernova, why is this forum funny? and by the way, i did not know that celeborn is married to galadriel. is that true?
Because people seem to keep answering the question again and again and still some people get it wrong despite all the correct answers already give. I was wondering if people were actually reading the post before theirs.
The things on the trees are called Fletts 😉
Yes Haldir was a guard of Lórien; as he (in contrary to his brothers) spoke Westron, he talked to the fellowship.
Lórien didn't have an army or something like that at the end of the Third Age.
They just had guards (who also killed the orcs of Moria) to keep the peace in Lórien.
