They changed a lot of relations and stuff in the movies. After all, they say that Bilbo is Frodo's uncle. And wouldn't Galadriel just be Arwen's grandmother on her mother's side?
Gosh-darn-it, I don't have my book with me right now. I will work with memory (which is skecthy at times). It is true that in the movie they call Bilbo, Frodo's uncle (the most memorable is at the end on the way to the Grey Havens). We all know this is immpossible since Bilbo was an only child. My point is that in the FOTR I think chapter 1 they say that although Bilbo is Frodo's cousin, he often referrs to him as his uncle. So in that they WERE keeping with the book.
I want to than EXA and Mormegil for spelling everything out like that. It is so much easier to digest that way! LOL I am still working my way through the books beyond the LOTR. They are facinating but at times confusing.
