The Official Shipping Debate Thread [merged]

I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THIS FORUM IN FOREVER!!! SORRY PEOPLES!! Sirius and Lupin?! *eye twitches* That's kinda.... Anyways, moving to different subjects..... I also ship Draco and Ginny, and Ron and Luna, even though they aren't goin to happen in the book. But you know what the weirdest thing was that happened to me? I read this H/G fanfic not knowing it was H/G, and I LIKED it! Seriously, it had a good plot and everything. And then later I read a D/Hr fanfic and I like THAT one too! I think I would be able to support any ships except same genders ships, age gap ships, relative ships, and R/Hr. Sorry, but I just don't see what's up with R/Hr! But then again, I can't see why so many girls think Tom Felton is hot either... lol I guess I'm just strange!

I find it the ship of dreamers^_^

This ship is my favorite,not only beacuse it would bring tremendous development to both characters,but because its...exciting.Things like R/HR and H/HR(although I know one of those two will happen)are terribly boring,unoriginal,and unimaginative.D/HR is one of my passion ships for just about anything,simply because of how passionate it can truly be.

With regards to those who say Dracos to much of an ass to be with Hermione ponder this.We are all born with the same emotions and the same ability to express them.That means Draco has every capability to unlock the emotions he has left sleeping in his heart.I think for a child who has grown up in a house of deciet and lies,and who has a father who knows nothing(as far as we know)of love or compassion,he turned out just as predicted for someone under those circumstances.

And with regards to those who say the ship won't happen because JK said so,get a life.I know that,thats why its the ship of dreamers.

wow,..hmmm you seem to see things from a Humanistic point of view (which is good by the way). and your right IF Draco and Hermione get together I'm sure it would be a very passionate type of romance, but it would be on the side of Romeo and Juliette because both parents would not except...along with Harry and ron. to be honest I dont think Hermione and Draco will be together. I actually see it as Ron and Hermione...or maybe even Harry. either way the characters seem to still have a bit of hate for each other...or thats the way it appears.

Wow, you are strange! lol. I don't see why you "won't be able to" ship RHr when it's the most obvious canon ship ever. Also, what's wrong with gender and age gap ships. Sexuality and age doesn't matter you know! lol. I think JKR would have liked the Sirius/Lupin idea if Harry Potter weren't for kids too. Too bad kids read it. But I can understand that you don't like the "relative ships," because that's just too weird (eew). And yes, I agree. Tom Felton is not hot. lol.

YEh...sadly,I do not and will never believe this ship will happen..beacuse of what you said AND because JK really hates Draco

I'm with you sailor, I dont really understand the weird ships like that, even any draco ships dont work for me, because he's such a evil character, I dont really want to see him with hermione or ginny. I'm not sure whats up with r/hr either, but it just rubs me the wrong way. they fight like siblings, thats how i think of them, so r/hr ship is just as strange as a r/ginny ship to me.

You are obviously a JKR type thinker(very black and white about what is good and what is evil)There is no good or evil.I quote myself from the DXHR thread I just made that contradicts what you've just said quite nicely.

I totally agree with you BlackHatDefect. We shippers of ships like Ron/Luna, or Draco/Ginny, or in your case, Draco/Hermione, know that our ships will not be in the books. We DON'T care, because we LIKE them, and just because we won't be seeing it in the books, doesn't mean we don't enjoy reading about them.

I guess I am a black and white thinker... sorry about that... anyways, I'm not putting down the draco/hermione thing, I just dont understand it, it doesnt quite float my boat because it's not practical, and not really something that I can read the book and look for and see evidence of. Thats what makes a ship fun for me, thats why the draco ships dont really work as far as im concerned, because we never see him in any romantic kind of way.

I can't imagine Sirius and Lupin being more than friends, though they are my favourite characters. Maybe if they weren't in this book but somewhere else.
And you know what? I guess it's worse to be more than friends with a boy or a girl because friendship can stand everything, love can't. I know that love is a great feeling and very strong but sooner or later it will fade away. Friendship may not be that passionate but lasts always and forever.
