through out the books hermiones character has grown immensely and i find it hard to be able to say harry is going to end up with a secondary charater like Ginny. Ginny has appeared in the 2nd and 5th book a little in the 4th but not enough. in the 5th book we find Ginny's found herself a boyfriend therefore indicating her crush on harry is gone. hermione's character is becoming a larger part in the story....another main character and it only seems fitting to give the two main characters the romance portion of the book. ron is slipping away in the books becoming less and less needed if you ask me but he has to be there he was harrys first friend. we also see hermione has some interest in harry because in the end of the GoF hermione kisses him, while supposed shes going out with victor which seemingly gets on rons nerves indicating a crush. hermione gets closer and closer to harry he opens up to her.....so harry shouldnt and couldnt go out with a secondary character....(i.e Ginny, cho or luna) and seeing how hermione is becoming more of a main character she couldnt go out with a secondary character either(i.e victor ron or anyone else for that matter)

There is a lie. Do I have to repost the essay on the Ginny not loving Harry again? Please don't make me, it takes up two post to do it.
Alright, can we stop calling them main and secondary character. Think of them like real people. They wont be saying, if this was real life, something like "Oh, I can't go with you Ginny, your a secondary character. I have to go with Hermione because she is a main and I am a main, which is actually weird because Ron is a main to and if I end up with Hermione he will have to go with a Secondary Character like Luna or something. I know, how bout two mains do get together and that is Ron and Hermione. Why do I have to specifically have Hermione? What if I want someone else?" Pumpkinpie you need to look at this as if it was real life. You can't keep saying "Oh, shes a secondary character, she can't go with a main," because Ron is a Main too, if you haven't noticed, and if Harry and Hermoine do end up with each other he will have to go with a secondary.... did I just repeat myself? Anyway, thats just a thought.
"who she going out with anyway?" ron asked hermione, but but it was ginny who answered. "micheal corner," she said "Micheal--but--" said ron, craning around in his seat to stare at her. "but you were going out with him!" "not anymore," said ginny resolutely. "he didnt like gryffindor beating ravenclaw at quidditch and got really sulky, so i ditched him and he ran off to go comfort cho." she scratched her nose absently with the end of the quill, turned the quibbler upsidedown, and began marking her answers. ron looking highly delighted. "well i thought he was a bit of an idiot," he said, prodding his queen forward twoard harrys quivering castle. "good for you. just choose some one better next time." he cast harry and oddly figuritive look as he said it. "well, ive chosen dean thomas, would you say thats bette?" asked ginny vagely.
pg 866 OotP.... im not saying it couldnt happen thats just my POV but its not likely a secondary character is going to end up with the main character and besides ginny is younger than harry it wouldnt seem right from my POV
...... ONE YEAR YOUNGER! Ok, here is what I just heard from you. "You must be the same age to date." Now, why can't he go out with someone one year younger, because of what you just said? But what about Cho. She was older. To he has to be the younger or equal age of the relationship to date? And I don't get it, most women are younger than the men (I mean nothing in offense to women here), like my mom and dad are 8 years apart.... but wait, maybe it should be 2 years are younger to date them? He cast Harry an oddly figuretive(I'm copying off you and I don't think it was figureitve) look as he said it. Ok, it might be my POV on this, but I think JKR was hinting something there.
night i admitt what i said sounds rather dumb after re reading it about the younger thing i know its true but as an opposing ship im in denyal.
and the fanfic thing is for ppl who arent members. anyway i think ron thinks harry is most sutible for ginny because he knows her and they'er good friends thats why he did that as you can clearly see hermione fancies harry here " did you kiss" asked hermione briskly. ron sat up so fast his ink bottle flying all over the rug. disregarding this completely he stared avidly at harry. "well?" he damanded. harry looked from rons expression of mingled curiousity and hilarity to hermione's slight frown and nodded. (2 whats--er-- going on with you and her anyway?" ron asked quietly. "nothing" said harry truthfully. "i--er-- heard she was going out with someone else now," she said tentively. the second one it really seems as if she's happy about it.....
hehe um i know this is off topic but the funniest part in that book is when ron said i saw uranus or something of that sort.
J.K. Rowling has so far led us to believe one thing but it turns out to be the other thing or turns out our expectations are false. For the past books, she has been leading us to believe that Ron would (sort of ~_~) end up with Hermione. Who's to say she wouldn't wave her magical manipulative wand again like she had with the book series and have Hermione end up with Harry instead? The way J.K portrayed Ron's and Hermione's situation, it's an absolute stereotype: the love-hate stuff with no depth in it. Typical of what we usually see in muggle romance novels or tv soaps. Harry's and Hermione's may be typical in the surface (from friends to lovers stereotype) but this time, it has depth in it and what I mean by 'depth' is the added symbolisms she has placed (some of which are so hard to spot that only H/Hr fans can recognize it). J.K has added certain tweaks to this relationship which led to the formation of the different H/Hr theories seen here and other places online.

Ron/Hermione's arguements are usually not very light (or at least not taken very lightly by either Hermione or Ron). Sometimes Hermione winds up in tears or both going through spells of ignoring each other.
An "old married couple" may bicker or fight but it is nothing like that. At least, those that bicker in a healthy way do not. Their fights are not as painful or taken as personally as Hermione and Ron do.

At this time they are simply children and don't understand their emotions. In the upcoming book they will grow up and finally realize them.
Hey Steph and Nightcrawler! Elcellent argument you guys have going on! I wish I could have been here to get right in the middle of it but I was out for the day. Anyway, you know that I've got to agree with pumnpkinpie on this one, sorry nightcrawler, you know i've got much love for you, even though I don't agree with you 😄 I think this whole shipping thing comes down to how you like relationships, and the ones you've experienced. Personally I don't like to see couples arguing all the time, I dont' think fighting to the point of tears is in any way 'cute' nor does it contain any hint of romance. I dont think fighting is romantic. But hey, thats just me. Now I do find it extreamly endearing when 2 people are close friends for years and years and get along very well, care about each other very much, and that bond of friendship turns into love. I see Harry and Hermione as being a very close, caring, loving couple, the kind of relationship that I would dream of having. And lets look at this from Hermione's point of view: who would you rather have, the hero who isn't horribly rude to you, or the immature sidekick? To me the choice is clear.
