Okay...I USED to support the whole Harry/Luna thing..and was the 1st to bring it up on this board.....however HArry REALLY DOES look at Luna in a whole new light......BUT Luna likes Ron and Luna only knew about Sirius b/c Ginny told her. Harry can talk to Luna b/c of the veil. He wants to know whatever he can find out about how to contact Sirius. He can empathize with Luna and talk to her b/c of her mom and also b/c they both get made fun of at school. He feels the same way with her as he did with Snape. So yes, Harry thinks of her more as a friend now, rather than Loony Luna.
As for Luna she does not fancy Harry...she fancies Ron..who could give a whoop-ti-doo about her. But she still fancies him, not Harry. Also just b/c Luna and Lily both have the same name does not tie them together.

Yes, Ginny does certain things that hint up that she still likes Harry.... but she's still dating others for NOW....and Harry..well he just got over Cho and he may begin to like Luna...but I believe that will change when he realizes that she fancies Ron and I think it will take SOMETHING big to open Harry's eyes up to Ginny!! JKR does mention it in her interviews...I read one today actually.
So Harry/Ginny is the most likely choice for now! Until the next book comes out and it says that Luna fancies Harry and stuff. AND I dont think they would date b/c Ginny talks to Luna too now...and well...girls know that rule....the "i liked him 1st rule"..... I remember having that back when I was in my teens.
Anyways this is all for now.........maybe I have cleared a few things up...maybe I have caused more confusion...I can't wait for book #6 🙂

First letter? Uh- Not like we brought that up, also it is more Harry/Ginny SHIPPErs who talk about the Lily/James similarities.

Excuse me, uh- Ginny got over her crush in 4 years, she was pretty young, even if Luna does have a crush on Ron she is older and more mature than Ginny was, therefore get over it faster.
Also we don’t know for sure that Luna has a crush on Ron. Actually first off there was the laughing, Luna is Loony we know this… that could have just been her thinking something was funny. The singing the Weasley is our king song? It said it had a catchy tune and if Luna likes something she does it, no questions asked, and or, buts.
Also maybe Luna was only talking to Ron because he was the only one he heard the older Ravenclaws talking about, at least what the whole school didn't know. That was Padama/Ron, therefore she would talk to him... and I think she may have known what Ginny thought of her.
Again, we are talking about a One Sided Relationship. Luna likes Ron, Ron like Herm..

I do read J.K.’s interviews, and I remember her saying one time that Harry’s Love will be introduced in the 5th book, but he will end up with someone who has been in all the books.. So I have deduced Harry will fall in love with Luna, and she will die at the end of the 6th book. I told this to Pixie and she almost mauled me.. **flinches** Hiya Pixie **inches away***
Also they may have more history together, but Harry and Luna have more in common. Way more in common, they can understand eachother…

She eased his pain just a little bit and that is one of the main reasons I think Luna is there. To help Harry beilive.... belive in himself, and what he saw/heard. He will need something to belive in, and something to help him belive. Even more so now becuase he has lost Sirius, and it was because of what he believed he saw.

I have already written in my previous posting why i think Harry WILL get together with Luna, so i'm not going to repeat this again. But guys, think about this. Does it not seem odd to you all, that Rowling has reserved one full chapter to introduce Luna Lovegood (the chapter is even called Luna Lovegood). I know that in every Potter book many characters are being introduced, but not many of them get a chapter for their own. It means this Luna girl will be very important in the next two following books. Therefore i'm still betting my money on Luna.
ps: it's not that i want to offend anybody here. but be honest, for those who remember their puberty, i have been in love with a couple of girls. Yet, I knew that they would never answer my love. Nevertheless, some of them have become good friends, even sisterlike. Don't you think that the whole Ginny and Harry (or Ron-Luna thing) thing is the kind of same thing. Maybe I wasn't clear on a few things. One the bond between Harry and Ginny is the same kind of bond that was between James and Snape also the same as the one between Harry and Wormtail. James saved Snape's life, Harry saved Wormtail's life, and Harry saved Ginny's life. It is the same bond between them, and Ginny and Wormtail have yet to repay their side of the bond like Snape had in SS. Sorry if I hadn't been clear on that.
Now, another thing I think I wasn't that clear about was the whole over and given up thing. I hadn't been referring to Ginny. I was just explaining what those two things mean in general, and I think that at eleven that Ginny was too young to be in love with Harry. But, I believe that she had a crush on Harry!
Finally, another thing I wasn't that clear about. The whole Harry=James and Ginny=Lily thing. That was NOT what I was trying to get at!!! >_< Though I was referring to the likelyness between the two, I was also referring to the literary clues that had been in that chapter and the form of 'foreshadowing', which is big for Harry/Ginny and should be for any couple in a book! Foreshadowing for Harry/Ginny had started in book one!

Good point LilyGinnyBlack.......and Lokia..obviously you support H/L which there may be some connections there, but most likely Luna will die, its just JKR's way of doing things but even if Harry fell for her, I don't see Luna going for him. I think there will be ALOT of quarrell between her and Hermoine in book 6 and Hermy will have to come out and admit to Ron her feelings, which he too has...IT WAS ALL IN BOOK 4..they BOTH were jealous of each other. So they are a perfect match..even though they are soooo opposite.
Now Ginny is getting older and wiser so she knows what she has to do to keep Harry on his toes...like always having a boyfriend. Ron does support him for his little sister and Harry did save her life and neither one of them will ever forget that.

A crush, a school girl crush. She was still in Elementary school. If we want to get Realistic like J.K. is obviously trying to do, than who meets their Lover for all of time in Elementary School? High school sometimes, but most of the time college.

That is what I am talking about! See it doesn’t matter that Harry doesn’t think of Ginny in that way, he has never even really told us what Ginny looks like. Bushy hair or straight? Wavy or crinkly? The only thing I remember is him saying a little girl with red hair. At least with Luna he described her…

With Luna it is different, they don’t have any obvious attractions to each other. Just common ground, they can talk to each other about anything it seems, That is what you are supposed to do with your Lover…

Oh wow, use the one he loves death to get closer to a boy. How wonderful in honoring Luna’s memory is that? Also most likely Neville, losing his mum and dad had to have an impact so he would be able to help.
Also even if not Neville why Ginny? Remus, he lost Sirius and James. Dumbledore has had to have lost a lot of people, why her over all of these people and his Best friends there has to be a reason.
We still don’t know that Luna has a crush on Ron. That could just be her exercising her Loony Ness…

She could have found the joke really funny. Like I said above… If Luna likes Ron, she isn’t blind, she sees more than most. She will see that he likes Herm, she is not the type to dwell on anything (if she won’t dwell on her mum’s death why will she dwell on this?) She will see just how much her and Harry have in common and how he doesn’t see her like everybody else…
