Final Fantasy 7 : Advent Children (Movie)

Yes, I finally watched it and the Lip Synching stuck out like a sore thumb, it was awful.

I liked the movie though.

Believe it or not, I watched the whole little summary of the game in Japanese, not realizing that it had subtitles to that also.

When I went to play the movie, it automatically started out in Japanese so I switched it and then thought maybe I had to switch it during the game summary, so I rewatched the summary after watching the movie, I thought the Japanese words would change to english though, but oh well.

I haven't seen the special features yet though.

I wasn't a little disappointed with the fighting. Not enough. And not detailed enough in some parts. Some parts just had fast motions and stuff and wasn't fluid enough for me and some were too short.

I did really like the Bahamut battle though. I was beginning to think that was the last boss battle b/c I found it hard for any other battle in the movie to out do it and I was right.

I found the Bahamut battle better than the Last Battle.

I was beginning to think they weren't going to show Aerith's face.

Although I wished I had completed the game so that I would have been caught up on the story line, I just couldn't get past the graphics of the game back then being use to graphics today.

Plus I got stuck right outside of Aerith's house when Cloud sneaks out and find her waiting for him. I couldn't get through the broken up highway section. If not for that, I may have completed the game in time.

I plan on looking at it in Japanese soon.

Is it comprehensible.....

you should! the Japanese voices did such better jobs then the dubbed!

o well... i got through it although i wushed they had more enthusiam on the grunts, yells, etc...
but gawd Cloud's Japanese voice is Hott 😍

i seen over the weekend it was cool i agree with inner rise but it was still awsome

I was fine with the weird lysinc most games arent in sinc to what they are saying. I also liked how sometimes at the end of a sentance in the movie it looks like they are saying what the english actor is saying. Yazoo's voice made me laugh

This movie was great. I never played the games and i have almost no knowledge about them but still it was great. A little girl explains a little bit about what happened before this and you kinda get the story. sometimes it's gets a little confusing but i probably was i shock from the animation which is so amazing!! if the guys from Shrek or Ice age think they did a good job forget it. The animation from this movie was spectacular. I never saw anything like it.

So, I've never played FFVII in my life, but I wanna see this. What do I have to know to understand this?

If you pay attention, often Kadaj speaks outloud, but his mouth doesn't move.

You don't need to pay attention to that, it's blatantly obvious. Flaming over and over about it is getting old, too.

It makes much of the movie immensely better if you've beaten Final Fantasy VII. The 10-minute summary just doesn't cut it.

However, all you really need to know to get the main plot is that in thier world, all living things come from the Lifestream when they're born and return to the Lifestream when they die. After they return, their memories and consciousness remain distinct within the Lifestream.

Let's see, what else? Oh yeah, Aeris died, Cloud felt like it was his fault, felt sorry for himself forever after. Pretty much.

the english version come out in western australia today, i bought the 2-disc collectors tin set

i loved it also but the ending was.....different than i expected

Unbe-fecking-lievable.

I rented it, loved it and immediatly ran to the store to buy it.

It's really cool. Great animation, awesome fights, a good story IMO although sometimes it's a little bit confusing for us people who haven't played FF VII, etc.

Mine finaly came! I knows Aeriths voice sucked but what did ye think of the rest? I was really disapointed with Vincents. His Jap voice was so much softer, less 'grrr' you know. I prefered it that way! Loved Reno and Rudes though!

i played the game so long ago, and i only got halfway through it, some part after aeriths died, and i kept getting shocked my like a ****in mountain.

Yea i watched, and was so ****in confused, it turned me off from it.

Im gonna try and go back play the game, then watch the movie again.
