USH'S GAME EPISODE V- 'MAUSOLEUM'- DARK SIDE AREA

"Well, apparently they have been lied to...a lot. They think they are the only beings in the galaxy. Also, about the Sith...I know they were here, but you said something about them letting them on the planet. Inviting them in?"

Wraith gets closer to the leader. "What radiation field do you speak of? I did not see one when we arrived."

"The radiation belts in the inner Galaxy," says Shi'haia. "That make life there impossible. Where do you REALLY come from?" he asks.

-

"They don't think they are the only beings in the Galaxy," says Kuylen. "They know what aliens are. And that was a threat. As you can see, the word frightens them. And that's not the only word."

"Well, I was born on a planet called Tejere. It is in what we call the Outer Rim. It is a nasty planet full of blood and gore and illegal gaming. The lizard man is an Arnian from Arnia, and then the big guy talking to the man with the braids is from Hoth, a frozen planet also in the Outer Rim. You are on the very edge of the Outer Rim, on your planet of Zeiton."

"But only the very edge of the rim is habitable!" he protests. "The rest of the galaxy is a lifeless desert!"

"You're very wrong, Shi'Haia," Wraith says to the creature. "I know of others. The planet of Coruscant, which is the capitol world of the Galactic Republic, lies in the Core Worlds, very close to the center. It is teeming with life, building upon building..."

Wraith starts to think to himself. [i]Frog-like beings who live underground...ludicrous to be sure...maybe they were mutated by the Sith to become what they are now, and were told that they could not go further into the galaxy because it would effect their bodies...so the Sith crafted a story that the rest of the galaxy was lifeless and radioactive to keep their genetic engineering on Zeiton."

Rah follows along still smarting from that weapons blast.

(Just out of curiosity are these froggie things similar to the massassi as in they are slaves or servants?)

"it is like their knowledge is given to prove them the uselessness of them leaving the planet...and maybe spreading some information on it." says Takuan
"they do know what siths are. Wishing to preserve this location, the sith might have told them a few of these lies. talking to the superior will bring something up, surely"

What Kuylen is trying to say is that they do leave the planet- those hyperspace trails were theirs, these people have space travel.

But they never cross the huge void you guys just crossed between here and the rest of civilisation as you know it. For these people life is very rare, scattered on a handful of stars barely counting as being in the Galaxy.

Hmm. Sith did a lot of weird things, Wraith, buyt you cnanot think why they would have mutated these people. You are pretty sure they evolved but...

Hey. That is one thing. What did they evolve FROM? There is nothing ON this planet!

"Nice try," says Kuylen to you, Takuan, "but the Sith are long gone and a sophisticated culture like this would soon discover any lies about rhe Galaxy they were told."

Shi'haia takes you, briefly, through some of the backstreets of the city. This place is a truly impressive achievement- it holds millions of people, at least, in what is basically a humongous cave. It has 'skyscrapers', hover cars fly around in large amounts, overhead 'skyways', advertising, nightclubs, bars...

But Shi'haia wants to keep out of sight, the threat of death extant in his mind. He leads you down through some unused rock passages, and some 15 minutes later you are in a natural cavern, where the great metal foundations of the city are viisble,- and there is a constant roar from above, the roar of an active city you are under.

They don't look like slaves to you, Rah. They seem like a race like any other. Well, not quite like any other.

"That's ridiculous," says Shi'haia, Wraith. But he doesn't really believe it.

"No," says Kuylen. "It's true."

"There IS no Republic!" says Shi'haia. "There are no Sith, no Jedi! They are child's tales, myths like the old Gods!"

"Then where did you get that weapon?" asks Kuylen.

"It was built long ago..." says Shi'haia.

"Yes, it was, but not here or anywhere near here- you must have worked out a long time ago that the crystals that weapon needs do not occur naturally in any part of space known to you."

"The resources must have been exhausted..."

"They were never THERE! That is a Jedi's weapon, a Jedi built it!"

Now Kuylen says it it seems rather obvious- it is a blue bladed Jedi sabre. Jedi?

"It's NOT true," says Shi'haia. "Hah! If you are the Sith, where are the Jedi? The Jedi always come first!" He loks happy with himself.

"Times have changed," says Kuylen.

"Ridiculous. You people are aliens we have not seen before who have heard of the great world of Zeiton! You found those weapons abandoned elsewhere and have come to take advantage of us by pretending to be legends of old!"

"Very well<" says Kuylen. "I shall prove it. Pick that rock up," he says, gesturing towards a rock on the other side of the cavern. "You know what I mean." Shi'haia frowns.

He reaches his hand forwards, and the rock picks itself up and flies into his hand.

"You cannot steal that power, if that is what you are thnking," he says. Kuylen nods. He then points to a huge rock covering a collapsed cave entrance some twenty metres below.

"Now pick that up," he says. Shi'haia looks at him as if he were stupid.

"Don't be ridiculous, that cannot be done."

"Why not?" Shi'haia maks a cross between a croak and a snort.

"It is too large, you fool!"

Kuylem smiles. He turns towards you lot.

"Takuan?" he asks. "If you would?"

Galder smirks, leaning against a wall, twirling his red lightsaber handle in hand. "Can't be done, eh?" Galder says. "Once again, we shall prove you wrong. Fools..."

"Indeed, you are wrong. I built a lightsaber, using a crystal from a world far from here. And I stole these other five from people who built them..." Wraith said. "And the Jedi came first? Shi'Haia, want to tell me a history of your planet later on?"

"It's not history, it is myth..." he says.

"Myth my ass, Shi'Haia. The Jedi and the Sith are real. Lightsabers can be built. You just have lived on the edge of the galaxy for so long that you are completely out of sinc with the rest of the Universe." Wraith goes into thinking mode again. Maybe the Sith told them that the inner Galaxy was radioactive to keep the exact location of the Mausoleum safe.

(we are just waiting for Dexx...)

Wraith- suddenly it hits you.

WATER! There was no water on the surface of this planet. How can a planet evolve frogs without water?

Takuan extends with the force, trying to slowly lift the rock.

Galder watches with great pleasure as Takuan goes to work, and sees the faces of the Zeitonians scrunch up with confusion and awe.

(No water? Hmm, is this planet maybe not actually a planet but a vast machine designed to look like a planet?)

Rah watches the Zeitonians response carefully.

Takuan, you close your eyes, and concentrate. With your power flowing, the rock soon lifts...

The frog eyes of the Zeitonians bulge widely, and none more than Shi'haia.

"How...?" je asls.

"It is the power of the Dark Side," says Kuylen. "A power that has been denied to you all your life."

Shi'haia blinks (which looks quite significant on those eyes).

"Will you show me how?" he asks. Kuylen smiles.

"What do you people think?" he asks all of you.

"i suppose we COULD do with a little....'local' experience on our side, in return" grins Takuan

"I suppose we could turn these Zeitonians into a group of kick-ass Dark-Siders," Galder says, likewise grinning. "Nice work, by the way, Takuan."
