"Indeed, with the right training and the right tutors..." Wraith says with a wink to the others.

"O yes! Got to spread the darkness, just to brighten our lives a little!" Rah says with an evil grin.

"Indeed. But, for a price, I suppose?" Galder asks Kuylen.

"There has only ever been one price for being in my service and that is total obedience," says Kuylen. "Serve me well and you shall sit at my right hand as my followers you see with me do.

"Now, we shall be camping out here for the night and likely for a few days. Our plan is as follows. With the help of our new friend we shall eventually gain access to this 'Elder', and whatever secrets he hides. Those secrets will take us to the Mausoleum. But we must be patient- as you can see, these people are well protected against attack, even by us. But sabres are not the only weapon at our disposal. Now, I shall speak with Shi'Haia alone for a few minutes."

Kuylen leaves you people alone for a short while. Which gives you a little while to get your bearings and wonder exactly what is going on.

Galder plops down, bored. "Great, more sitting and waiting..." he says. He begins talking to one of the Zeitonians. "So, what's it like being a frog who lives underground?"

Takuan waits for kuylen to finish his talk

Rah sits down to contemplate to ease the pain of his injuires.

"I'm not a frog," says the Zeitonian in the same voice you would deny being an ape and Dak would deny being a Komodo dragon. "And to live in our civilisations is fine!"

Good idea, Rah, you need the rest. But after their talk, Shi'Haia leaves and takes his men with him.

"This city has an Archive," says Kuylen. "Full of ancient scrolls and documents, forbidden to any to see, controlled by the Elder. That HAS to be what we want. So consider that our target. Shi'Haia will be returning for instruction later once he has done a few errands."

"What makes you think we can trust him?" asks Saar.

"Some reason I trust you," says Kuylen. "He knows he can better himself under me, the desire to is built into every fibre of his body."

"I don't like it," says Saar. "It's too easy."

"Easier than I thought, that's for sure," says Kuylen. "But everything is going fine."

Time passes. Jolanta has been examining the foundations to see if there are any electronics she can tap into. Chion remains silent. Saar looks thoughtful.

That evening (Rah, you are painful but better) Shi'Haia returns- but with half a dozen others, some of whom are the guards he was with before.

"I told you to come alone," says Kuylen.

"Forgive me," says Shi'Haia. "But... these people want to learn as well..."

Kuylen raises an eyebrow.

"He's been spreading the word, eh?" Galder says, rolling his eyes. "Can these others use the Force as well? Pick up those pebbles over there!" he orders them.

"I see a complication coming," Wraith groans as they approach, meanwhile patching Rah up a bit.

"oh..this is getting unnecessarily complicated" sighs Takuan looking at the crowd.
"by the way" he asks Shi'haia "this elder of yours...he's not a f......of your species, is he?"

(oh..that archive search will be interesting....)

"What is the Force?" asks Shi-Haia. But the others all do as you tell them, raising the pebbles remotely.

"Of course he is one of us!" he says. "We would not have an alien as our leader, would we?"

"Well, very well then..." says Kuylen. Saar looks a bit non-plussed.

"Something bugging you, Saar?" Wraith asks after finishing up with the patching of Rah's wounds.

"All happening a bit fast," says Saar. "Still, the faster the better, I guess."

"Perhaps...but could it go too fast?"

"Thanks Wraith!" Rah says "I wonder, it's too easy. I mean I know the darkside is vey enticing, but... I cant help feeling there maybe a trap in all of this." Rah looks at Wraith and indicates the new followers "Real power is a coveted thing, most people when given a chance of having our power would be secretive until they can show it off... I wonder what Kuylen things off all this." Rah gets up to speak of his concerns with Kuylen.

"well...do we proceed to the archives?" says Takuan with a visible interest.

When you ask Kuylen this, he says

"The archives are in the centre of th city. As I said before, they will not be easy to reach. We are going to have to storm this city. Shi'Haia should get us the plans but there is much to arrange."

To you, Rah, Kuylen smiles.

"It's like filling a vacuum," he explains. "These people have been empty and unfulfilled for too long. They are desperate for it."

"Define too fast," says Saar. "Too fast is something one says AFTER the event when it goes wrong. I think we are adequate to the task."

As it is 'night-time' now, Shi-Haia cannot get you guys anything yet- but he will be required at the Council tomorrow morning, and he will return afterwards. All ofyou are muchly tired and some rest does you good.

The next day, Shi-Haia returns. He has brought three dozen people with him. Two of them have lightsabres.

"These people wish to join you as well," he says.

"yes..this was expected..." says Takuan (they don't seem to be terribly bright..i guess we can play some manipulation games at them..so as to make them WANT to stay)

"i just hope we can trust them. Now..what did you find out?"

He says he is to report to Kuylen.

Takuan, these people are in a civilisation more sophisticated than the Republic. You do not thinkbrains has much to do with it.

What you are more concerned about is that they think you can teach them anything. You have already seen several force adepts here. In a galaxy of several hundred thousand star systems a planet is lucky to get ONE Jedi candidate a century. You have just had three dozen people turn up here- what are you going to explain to them?
