"Suite yourself, Chion..."

"Ah, I see. But why did Rura not come with us?"

Galder ignites his blue lightsaber. "Time for some tips, Leiutenant. Try to hit me with your blade."

"so what now?" asks takuan

Oh, he'll practice with you, Galder. But all that really happens is that he is very quickly impressed by your amazing skill.

"How did you learn to fight like that?" he asks.

Kuylen answers Wraith.

"I told him not to come," says Kuylen. "The Mausoleum only works for the worthy."

Well, right now your followers have more and more questions for you. What is it like in the Republic? Where do the Sith come from now? Are the Jedi still around? If so, how come, why were they not extinguished as Demnos did here? Why has it taken so long for you to get here? And one important question they all want to know- if you are so powerful, why are you servants and not the Master?

Kuylen, meanwhile, continues to plan military option during the day. One of the new contacts is managaung to smuggle arms out of an armoury to get weapons for all your new recruits.

"not the master?" says takuan "why..that's simply because Kuylen is stronger than anyone of us, and is the most fit to be the leader."
Takuan doesn't want to answer TOO many questions...simply because he doesn not see why he would do it. And he has alway had a 'don't talk more than you need' way of acting.
"i shall answer many of these questions for you.." he says "but first...shouldn't we begin our training?"

"I was taught by Kuylen. He is much better than I am, but I am good." Galder dodges the blows and spins off to the side. "Now, how high can you jump? Because if I was to go for a low blow like this..." Galder drops down and swipes for Gar'Veran's legs, stopping mere inches before cutting through them. "You'd probably want to leap over it or use your blade to block it. Or you can just lose a foot and I find a much more worthy Leiutenant."

Oh, I am assuming that the wuestions are being hanbdled between training- this is taking place over a perod of days.

Not answering IS an option, I will stress. All this is important for forming your different armies. Do you plan to answer any more, Takuan?

"But you are the strongest in the 'Force'," says Tik'Peebo to you, Takuan. "I do not understand, is that not TRUE power?"

Actually- cliche though it is- these frog guys can jump VERY well, doubly so with the Force, Galder.

"And so once you are better than him you will kill him and take his place, yes?" asks Gar'Veran.

Galder stops. "Well, the thought crossed my mind once..." But Galder shook his head. "But, no, I respect Kuylen. If he were to die, I would, of course, try to take his place. But I will wait till then. It will be a long time before I reach Kuylen's experience."

i answer one more question..now
"about the jedi?" says Takuan "you'll whitness they're downfall with your own eyes.."

"the force?..yes that is true power...but not all of us can train to become like me. SOme are born with it. And are more likely to weild these powers. Others are more phisically fit, like Kuylen.
but i shall teach you on both how to weild your saber..and the force."

"Kuylen still has great skill with the Force, but not equal to Takuan, here," Galder says, butting in. "While Takuan could probably beat Kuylen in a test of powers, Kuylen could easily have him by the throat with a lightsaber in seconds. As would I, if I did not consider Takuan an ally."

(Sorry been a tad busy!)

Name - Ter'Minaw
Species - Zeitonian
Lightsabre - Blue
Attitude - Quiet, thoughtful
Template - Heretic

"I am Toolok Rah! You will call me Captain Rah!" Rah anounces to his new underlings "Under my supervision you all become great or you will die!"
Rah then goes on to explain how he came to be here "I was lost, drifting aimlessly through the galaxy when my master Kuylen found me and taught me the one true path! Some of you are wondering why, if I am so great why I am not Kuylens equal. Well I tell you this now, I AM great but I am not a patch on Kuylen. If you disbelieve my strength feel free to to test me." Rah pauses to add a little atmosphere to his speech then continues " I will teach you, I will terrify you, and I will amaze you, but if you fail me I WILL KILL YOU!"

Rah takes Ter'Minaw through some sabre exercises, driving him hard to scare him, thus allowing his fear to make him strong.
The rest of his army will be weapons drilled and will be meditating to develop their force skills. While his army is at rest Rah test them be going through the camp randomly and using the force to scare his soldiers in their sleep. He also uses randomly attacks his people to keep them keen and alert. Praise and promotion is given where due and beatings given for failure.

Now, that all sounds pretty good to me!

"So Takuan appears strong but is actually weak?" asks Gar'Veran.

Ter'Min aw wants to know whether you exclusively reserve the right of life and death, Rah, or whether he can exercise it on your authority.

"I suspect Demnos himself was more Force Master than athlete..." says Tik'Peebo.

Now, in case you guys have not noticed, what is starting to be hammered down here is the very nature of what it is to be on the Dark Side. If you want in the Mausoleum, this is the kind of stuff that is important- maybe not LITERALLY, depending on what you find there, but certainly in relation to what happens when this party gets off th ground.

To compliment all this, I am going to ressurect some old polls I asked the original Dark Side players a long time ago... and add a new one.

Galder, you are the one who has made it all the way, start to end, from Avalar to Zeiton, so this all has a special resonance for you.

In response to Ter'Minaw's question Rah replies "You are coming along well, I can see how you have grown, but for now any punishment that you feel warrants execution must be passed by me first!" Rah smiles at Ter'Minaw menacingly and re-enforces his next comment with the force "I can't allow you to get carried away now can I..." Rah dismisses Ter'Minaw with a wave and goes back to his meditating.

"Nice work, Rah," Galder says. "For one of the newer Dark Jedi in the group, I see you as an equal...in a sense. Not in combat of course. In any case, I will use some of your tactics, if you don't mind. If I steal them, it's not like you can do anything about it..." Galder grins and goes off to his own soldiers, training them in similar ways to Rah's soldiers.

"No, Gar'Veran, Takuan is not a weakling. If he wanted to, he could kill you with mere thoughts. Break your bones, choke you. And he is still better with a blade than you."

Galder gathers his troops for a lesson about the Force.

"The Force...you may not call it that, but that is the appropriate name for it. You can do many things with the Force. Many things. I myself am not strong in using the Force, but it aids me in combat just the same. The Force can do anyting, if you will it. You can convince others with weak-minds to do things for you. You can send people flying against walls, knock them down, or pull their weapons from them by taking a hold of the power that you have. Use it in combat and in times when something is not your's to have."

Galder finishes off.

Galder then gets back to his training with Gar'Veran. "Let your emotions take control of you. It is the only true way to get power. Your emotions and the Force combined can be very deadly. I use the power of fear to drive me to do things that I never thought possible until Kuylen showed me the way."

"Kuylen, I have grown tired of waiting..." Wraith says to Kuylen. "When shall we make our bid for power? When shall we strike? I am eager to get power and get blood on my hands!"

(Make use of something Ush told me about... 😛 )

Galder assembles his men again, to make an example of one of them. The cowering Zeitonian stands near him, shuddering with fear.

"I have told you again and again that I will kill you for failure or if you do something inedequate to how I want things to be run. This Zeitonian..." Galder gestures to the shuddering one standing near him. "Nearly shot me in the head during the target practice drill, as you all saw, with one of your kinetic guns. He grazed my head. I plan to make an example of him, and hope you all follow what it means."

Galder holds the handle of his unignited red lightsaber to the side of the Zeitonian's head. He flips the switch and grins as the Zeitonian falls dead.

"You see? I have no mercy for you if you are sick or wounded or mess up on accident. It will result in death, either by your enemies, or by me. Death is very real. War is very real. We are nearing both when we choose to use the Force for personal gain. Now go meditate, and think about what this dead creature has done. Think of what might happen to you if you mess up."

Galder turns to Lt. Gar'Veran. "Leiutenant, see to it that this...mess...is cleaned up..." Galder says. "And then I would like some more dueling practice with you."

I am afraid this is going to be a bit of a waiting game guys- basically your major obstacle is that you have to effectively take this city before you can find the Mausoleum, your greatest task yet. It will take planning.

Everyone is impressed by your demonstration, Galder.

However, your Lieutenants have to go- Kuylen is anxious that you keep all of them on the Council, if they spend too much time away it will become clear they have joined you. And he is hoping for some insider knowledge on defences. They will be back soon. Incidentally, recruits continue to arrive; you have about sixty or seventy men each now.

"Now," says Kuylen, "if any of you have any questions... now is the time to ask them."

Frankly you still think the whole thing makes no sense, Wraith...

Before Ter'Minaw leaves Rah instructs him to gather plans/schematics of the city.
Rah then approaches Galder "How goes it with your troops? I've had an idea to help test and hone their skills" He continues "How about sparring our troops against each other. The best then get tested against ourselves any accidental 'mishaps'... well thats the price for failing to meet the standard!"

"No, I think it is to risky...unless they put their weapons on stun. Remember, the regular troops do not have lightsabers. Our Leiutenants do," Galder says to Rah. "But the other techniques I borrowed from you are working quite well."

"Leiutenant, do as Ter'Minaw is doing, but do not make it too obvious. Try not to tell too many people about this, or they will know we are here."
