It's a holiday for sure because I have the day off and my sons school is closed for the day as well.

It's not an offical holiday any longer of any sort. Of course, indiviudal organisations can do what they like with it.

Meanwhile, where is that hot babe Edna... I'm not finished with her...

The whole of our University will closed on May Day. And according to the scedule it says that its because its a bank holiday.

I AM sure. You will note that London was at work today. That was whty everyone was super-nervous because of the demonstrations; at least the shops were closed last year.

Last year was the last OFFICAL May Day holiday in the UK.

I'm sure it is a bank holiday for the following reasons.[list][*]Bens school is closed for the day[*]My timesheet at work has been auto completed with a Bank Holiday day off on that day[*]My Outlook has a Bank Holiday[*]My wife has been told she will get double time (BH Pay) for her normal Monday shift[/list]

Also, according to the Department of Trade and Industry Website the 7th May 2001 is the Early May Bank Holiday.
