oh, and one more thing....like so many of you have mentioned, kinda goes with last message:
what if harry doesn't kill voldemort for whatever reason (cause he's not that type, cause he let wormtail go even though he was the reason his parents are dead, cause dumbledore said there's something worse than death,....). the prophecy also states that neither can live while the other survives, which means one of them HAS to die. but since dumbledore said there was something worse than death i kinda see that being the end of voldemort, whatever it is, even though it doesn't agree with the prophecy

thanks, padfootluver. i guess i better keep reading them all 🙂 they are very interesting and got me thinking about loads of stuff. that's why i wanted to get rid of some of my theories and questions. but they've probably all been discussed. this thread is so grabbing i sat up till 2am last night. will have to continue tonight.

Ok i agree with Bianca 4 posts up - the one about either Voldy or Harry dying. I dont think they will both die tho. 😛

Yeah...but some people think it would be a good twist on the whole "fariy tale ending" thing that always happens. Not that they WANT him to die!! (At least, I hope no one does!!)

firstly what you said about the curse not killing vodly. I'm totally w/ ya, i never even gave it a second thought! It already made sense to me...but obviously theres more! and back to your thought about harry dying...like i've said before..i really don't think he will. Defeats the prophecy's point...but, your point is valid none the less, there is a definately connection, and i do think the thing thats "worse then death" will have something to do w/ voldy's death. ok...i'm starting to ramble now 😮

k, before i get back to page 14 to my reading i wanna thank you all for welcoming me. also wanna say....i just looked at my post again and it definitly looks like that's what i'm saying,but i don't think harry's gonna die, the most important reason being that jkr wouldn't do that. i totally believe harry's gonna survive. just wanted to bring up the point that when voldemort dies ...or whatever....harry's scar is gonna hurt worse than ever and it would kinda make sense .......actually, maybe as voldemort's dying or something that's worse than that the connection between him and harry gets weaker and harry won't feel the pain as bad....or occlumency will help that too.......look who's babbling now 🙂

^book six...my patience is running thin! I feel as if i might be in the looney bin before it comes out! 😛 but...i definately agree w/ you...there will prolly be some intense pain for harry when he kicks some voldy butt (which i think he will do, w/ the help of others)

OMG!!! i can't believe it!! i read every post and am now at the end! stayed up WAY too late (and can't even sleep in 🙁 ). anyway, now i realize most poeple agree on most things and everything has been discussed plenty. i realized the old stuff was being repeated and repeated due to newer poeple joining.....and now here i come 50 pages later and start again. sorry 😮 .
something else tho:
remember how voldemort asked dd in a kinda surprised way (at least i took it that way): "you're not trying to kill me dd?" and dd answered that there's something worse than death.which i'm sure there is and will be explained in the book or probably happen.....dunno.
but anyway, dd probably didn't try to kill voldemort cause he knows he can't. he has heard the whole prophecy but voldemort hasn't. and if dd had tried to kill him and failed (which he would have cause we all know only harry can do that) that would make voldemort less afraid of dd when he knows dd can't kill him

Just a thought that popped up.... When Dumbledor says "Something worse than death" do you think he might be referring to the dementor's kiss? I'm sure that Voldy couldn't be killed by a measly little kiss but still... trying to think along to lines of something worse than death...

dunno if that's what he means....it seems kinda simple, but since he wouldn't be dead it's possible that a dementor could "kiss" him. and it would definitly be worse than death. the question: is being a soulless nothing considered surviving? cause the prophecy says "neither can live while the other survives". and another thing. i just kinda don't see a dementor being the end of voldemort, for one they are on his side, even though lots of things can and will change i'm sure, and for another i think harry will be his downfall, how i don't know and surely with lots of help and twists along the way

I see what you mean about the kiss and surviving...But, in a way, isn't Voldemort already soulless?? He never has and never will love anybody or any thing, just as no one has ever loved?ever will love him. I was thinking that the thing that is worse than death would be to have no firends/loved ones etc., but Voldy would already be at that point, wouldnt he?? Any other ideas??

Hey, I'm going to go reread all five books now, to get some ideas. I wonder how many more times before the sixth book comes out I'll be able to reread them!!

in a way he is soulless. even jk told us he has never loved anyone. but that i don't think he minds. i do think he would mind to end up like barty crouch. he wouldn't even be able to hate then. i really can't remember what exactly he said about his mother and father in one of the books (i think gof) even though i just got done rereading the books 2 weeks ago. i thought he said something like his father not being worthy enough to have been with his mother or whatever....i really don't remember and am probably far off. but i kinda think he has some kind of feeling towards his mother.i dunno. but i don't know why i'm throwing this in cause i don't know where i'm going with this and what it would matter cause it wasn't love. but now i wrote it and i'll post it. gonna reread your post again, padfootluver, and probably write a bit more...cause that wasn't at all what i was wanting to say....kinda drifted off.

one of the worst things for voldemort might be not having any powers and therefor no followers....but i don't think that's it.

Sorry to kick in like this, but i've read all the posts and I think you guys aren't seeing a couple of things.
First: Voldie can't get a Dementor's Kiss, because they side with him, probably out of fear ( he's more evil than them) or out of mutual interests.
Second: It has been confirmed that the last word of book seven is going to be scar ( although not confirmed, the last sentence is like harry looks in the mirror and doesn't see the scar) so I don't think he'll die.
Third: What's worse for Voldemort then death? Being magic less like a Muggle or a Squib.And how does this refer to the prophecy? What will the most power-hungry, evil man do if he's robbed of his most prized ability? Suicide comes to my mind. I see your minds working to contest these, but bare with me a little.
The Dark Tosser has Harry blood, so they share another connection.
What if Harry finds a way to banish the magic out of his system, his blood, wouldn't that also cancel the magic in Voldy's blood?
This is only one of the many theories I have and I think this post is already long enough.
