USH'S MATRIX GAME- Zion play thread.

I will go with Percy then. Under Lana`s leadership I have nothing to fear 😄

When do we start the proper game? It will take too weeks before I have unlimited posting time.

Melkor is 19 years old and a bit shy since he is the new recruit. He was a very intelligent child with escapist tendencies, never feeling good as a part of a system. He tends to be a very curious person, he equates the validity of choices with the information availible. He is also quite strong-minded, and tends to be absent-minded when he is really focused on a particular idea or subject.

I know Hawk wanted to be on the Shez with Rex and company, so Sirin will crew the Percy.

in the matrix it doesn't matter one bit, wether you're 7 feet or wether you're 4 ft 5.

In the MATRIX perhaps. In the Real world however....

"Congrats San!" Barb says, grinning and locking his Shipmate in a Bear hug."

And just a heads-up, Barb doesn't bunk with Newbies. 😉

Over my years I learned that sheer size does not define a mans fighting skills

The teams, then...

Percy
San (T)
Barbarossa
Cloud
Melis
Klez
Sirin
Melkor
Helios
Azrael

Shez
Mors (T)
Ares
Burn
Falcon
Firewall
Hephaestus
Balder
Hawk
Castor

The list excludes Fire and Mirage, since they're away. So, 9 vs. 9.

And roughly even in terms of experienced players too. Should make it interesting. What would be interesting would be a Mors -v- San fight 😄

No shit. Point is, you don't have to be fancy to tackle a Squid.

San's proof of that 😄

I don't want to spam the topic anymore, so this will be my last post on the matter.

I never stated that size matters specifically in battle, but it does matter regardless of were you are. Of example, if we're all being chased by Agents, do you really expect someone who is 7'8 to try to squeeze through an air ventilation system that is only 3 feet high?

In combat, you can be the fastest person their by far, but if you're very tall, and very wide, you're still a big target for people with guns, then the 5'1 girl zipping around on the walls.

Another point, if Shaq walked into a bar filled with regular sized people, how much Of them would be willing to take him on hand to hand?

The only time size doesn't really matter in the Matrix combat wise is when we're fighting someone who fights like us, as in Agents, Marrowvingian (Spelling) and the like.

Its actually more of a fair gameplay issue. Rather than someone being big for an advantage it should be a charater trait and not affect gameply at all.

Yep...and you'll find that doing well in fights makes you more of a target than your size.

Not to the average cop with a gun. If your ibgger hen everyoen else, you also stand out more, making the cops more aware to YOUR presence in general, regardless of how well your fighting.

In this game, the biggest threats (judged by how much ass you kick) are the biggest targets. 😉

In other words, whoever the Agents pick on.

yes of course, hence why I said it only really matters when fighting crownies, which should make up the majority of the bad guys, no?

Shouldn't matter at all, though.

Maybe the cops would pick on the smallest person, 'cos they're afraid of the big guy.

Thts another example of ho size would matetr in a fight.

How do you pick, though?

Who would the guards go for - some would go for the big guy, as a threat, some would go for the little guy, 'cos he's easy to take down, and some would be scared of the big guy and ignore the little guy, going for the average guy. And everyone would go for the person attacking them.

But if it's getting to you this much, why don't you design a Matrix system which takes size into consideration - you might also want to take into account the sex, race and age of the character - perhaps their weight, too. I think you'll find there's too much detail.

What the hell are you talking about?

I think he's basically saying that you're making a big deal out of things that ultimately don't matter.

Size is irrelevant. You become a bigger target by being a bigger threat, regardless of who you're fighting...unless you manage to get mooks to run from you. Which is always fun...but also not that likely to happen unless you're fighting close combat. Bad guys aren't going to care about who's the biggest, but rather who's most dangerous.

What have I done to imply 'm making a big deal out of anything?
