I agree.

I'm sorry that my laziness got in the way of my attempts of writing something that I simply cannot do. I can write practically anything but horror.

General comment. If you're an exception, and you had valid reason, then clearly my comment wasn't directed at you.

You mean, that was it? That's a shame. Hell, I woulda entered if I had known it would need a pick-me-up, but I kinda figured I'd be getting contacted about being a judge again.

I even advertised in the Horror section, for crying out loud...

Well, next time?

Anything but Christmas as a specification

😆

I actually asked if Rex had planned for the next one to coincide with Christmas for that very reason.

Perhaps a quick poll to establish the most popular genre for the next one?

I think you you did mean it at everyone 🙁
😛

Oh and Rex sorry I couldn't get things done this time.

I promise you barring the end of the World I'll give you an enrty next time no matter the genre or how much work I've got

Maybe not so often. We've tred to run ournaments back-to-back in the comics section too. Always much less interest for the second one.

Wait a while to try again (maybe after the New Year).

Probably the best idea. I know for the sig forum, we do tournaments and contests, and I'm trying to place them so they're scheduled three months apart, so it's then 6 months between each tournament or contest.

well...i want to thank all those that read my story and said good things about it. so...thank you.

Thought I'd share this, in case anyone's interested...

Basically a writing competition thing (though it's not really a competition), where the goal is for participants to try and write a 50,000 word (175 page) novel in a month.

I was going to sign up next year, but I think I've gone insane as I've just signed up to participate this year. Should be interesting to see how far I get by the end of the month.

And if my statement was meant for you, I would have directed it TOWARD you.

You did. You quoted me.

Regardless, are you really angling for a fight over something so trivial?

Why is novel-writing month November??! That's basically the worst month on the planet for sh*t like that.

They really need to change it to July or something....then I might enter that competition.

Haha, seriously, it is.

But I'm succeeding quite well. If I can get my damn attention span under control, I have a good chance at winning, even 😄

Now if I can just get another 1000 words done in the next hour...I'll be done for the night.

I apologize then. Without my glasses I see things that aren't actually there. I did not read your name when I made that remark.
