USH'S GAME EPISODE I-"AVALAR" - Dark Side (Edna Witch, queeq, Captain Rex, yerssot)

Started by queeq32 pages

The winding passageways provide plenty of safety for Quam. That and the increasing distance between his ship and the entrance to the canyon. Slowly, the "whump" noises become less and less audible.

You hear a sudden and louder 'whump', queeq. Hmm. Torpedoes hitting the mountainside. Either they are blowing up their own base or they are getting more expressive in hunting your Jedi 'friends'...

I'll need to know your plan for when you reach the upper level again, in case you are going to appear somewhere where another player is.

(My plans eh? You just wait a bit, hehehehe)

Quam doesn't worry much, from now on he'll go deeper underground before rising to the surface on the other end.

(With all these tunnels, it must be a very structurally unsound volcano...)

You can sense highly charged emoptions. There is still a great battle going on in the complex.

(Ah, well, the volcano is quite a bit away from the mountainous region where I entered the tunnel complex. Pay attention Ush)

Yeah, but the only property that Kuylen owns is on the volcano, so you MUST be heading there. There is nothing else on the planet. Pay attention, queeq...

(Ah yes, but I'm taking a special Dark Jedi detour... past the deli's and the drive-in movie theatre showing the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. 😄 Pay attention Ush. 😄 )

Yeah yeah... I see plenty of walking but no plotting!

Anyway, once we work out where you are going, I can tell you that you are nearly there...

Okay, what are my options?

Hmm. Well, as far as you know, two of your companions are stuck in orbit, though if you count Krisha as a negativre that works out as NONE of your companions stuck in orbit. Dim you have lost track of, and Kuylen you last saw fighting like mad as the pirates ambushed him en mass up on the Concourse, where Gundark was fleeing from. Edna is almost certainly with him.

The lower part of the base is almost certainly swarming with hostile pirates now. It's possible you could secure somewhere up top, where Kuylen and the rest of you had all your stuff. All in all, I am sure you would be very interested in 'talking' to the leaders of the clan and finding out why they betrayed you- and who told them to.

As for leaving the planet, the blockade the pirates are putting up would make it tricky. You would rather go in a group and give them more to fire at.

So the Concourse is on top of the volcano?

Yes. The Concourse is really just an open area that the upper cable car station connects to.

Okay, I'll think of something.

Good... and I'll speak to Edna about things...

The fighting on the moutainside seems to have stopped, for now. Or if it is still going it is very quiet.

The noises behind you have gone as well.

Quam arrives at the exit he had been navigating for. A pale light patch is visible at the end of the tunnel and Quam kills his lights. Slowly he landed his fighter.
Immediately probe droids leave the hull of the fighter heading towards the exit. As soon as they leave the cave, Quam's screens start filling with new data. He had arrived at the other end of the volcano. His detour was a long one. He had circled the volcano in a wide underground radius. Fighting seemed to have stopped. Nevertheless, Quam started charging all his lasers and arming his torpedo's.

(Sorry for the delay, but the LS guys are moving REAL slow)

Hmm. The data you are getting shows the immediate area to be clear. Assuming the pirates haven't given up, they must be busy with other things.

As the probes return to his ship, Quam punches in a couples of coordinates. His engines begin to roar and when he hits the booster, the black fighter spurts forth from the cave and speeds towards the landing pad.

"Kuylen, come in. Come in, Kuylen. What's the score here?"

Kuylen's voice comes back to you, short, clipped, and to the point.

"The pirates have secured the lower area. We hold the upper section but the cable car is destroyed the the auto-defences are stopping us from flying out

"I'm heading to the security control to disable the aerial defences that are stopping Chion from landing. Then we can all go together punch through the pirate blockade.

"Oh, and if you come by Hade any point.. find out why he did this. I don't care what you do with him afterwards..."

Quam sighs deeply, and then presses the intercom switch again. "Send me Chion's coordinates and I''l get his butt out of the trouble he got it into..."

There is a VERY loud rumble as something large explodes outside. Whatever it was, it seems to have disrupted your comms...

(Blame the Light Side, not me)
