USH'S GAME EPISODE I-"AVALAR" - Dark Side (Edna Witch, queeq, Captain Rex, yerssot)

Guided by the Force, Quam manouveres skillfully. Only problem was, he needs to reload his tommy blaster with a new projectile to take on another ship.
Quam slows the speeder down rapidly and parked it in one of the canyon's crevices. Quickly he inserts a new Azeem dart, checks the bulky contraption's targeting system and takes out his scanner from his belt. He studies the results and the manouvres of the ships.
He then points his tommy blaster at the side of the volcano slopes and fired to draw the ships' attention. Before the projectile hit the mountain slope causing a rock avalanche on the other side he has inserted a new one and starts his speeder. New destination: that strange force user in the cable car!

The small avalanche you cause is nearly overshadowed by something else; the fighter still on an attack run on the cable car fires a proton torpedo; it is a direct hit and the car is blown to pieces, along with a good part of the mechanism! Hot debris showers down all around.

Something human-shaped flies down quickly, having jumped from the car before it blew. It's a fair way down; surely nothing could fall that far without injury?

NOTE TO ALL PLAYERS...

...or just Edna, I suppose. Bear in mind that them moment you get out of the basement you are in, you will notice that the cable car has been destroyed. You probbaly heard both explosions, in fact- Quam firing at the volcano, and the cable car being torpedoed.

Quam senses the tremor in the Force from the falling person. He pushes his speeder in the highest acceleration and speeds towards the place where the cable car rider should have landed. It was only moments away from his hiding place...

Edna, you can hear the sound of fighting above you, then there is silence.

A few moments later, a purple sabre cuts through the ceiling above you, and rapidly cuts a hole through it. The disc of cut veiling falls to the ground, revealing Kuylen. He holds his hand down to you.

queeq- a figure, that you think is female, emerges from the wreckage not far away. She looks unsteady, but whole. Seeing you, she ignites a lightsabre (apologies; I am unsure of the colour)

To be honest, queeq, this is NOT the place for a duel. No fun both of you being shot up by those bloody fighters while you are trying to kill each other. But surely SHE knows that as well...

Meanwhile, queeq, SOMEONE is starting to rapelle their way down the volcano, starting from the cable-car station enough. This place is getting pretty crowded!

Quam stops his speeder, gets off and looks at the female Jedi with her sabre. Aware of the mysterous figure approaching, he's calm and at peace. No movement is made to reach for his infamous arsenal. His lips then slowly form an amusing smile.

"Hello, Gundark."

The woman studies you carefully, paying particular attention to your sheated weapons.

"Do I know you?" she asks.

Meanwhile, queeq, you notice someone making a HUGE leap onto the base of the mountain below, and start to climb quickly. You are now being apporached in two directions- the rappeller will be here soon.

Quam smiled more amusedly at Gundark, calm and unbothered by the approaching figures: "You should. Too bad I can't stay." As he spoke as weird humming noise surrounded the dark Jedi. "But maybe soon..."
Then like a flash, Quam turns around, fires several blinding bolts in the direction of the two mysterious figures. Huge explosions take place around them, fragments of rock flying everywhere. Withing moments Quam hits the enigines of the speeder and waves goodbye at Gundark. "Maybe soon..." he spoke to her in the Force, for her alone to hear.
The speeder engines roared and Quam was off.

You leave the bemused Jedi behind, queeq! And not a moment too soon; the climbing Jedi is making VERY fast progress.

You are not far from the Concourse; a little further from the actual top. Six fighters are now making an attack run on the mountainside, both at you and the Jedi. Making it to the Concourse is easier, but you will have to talk the rest of the way. Make it to the top, and you can get straight to your ship, but it's riskier.

Quam pilots his speeder away from the fighters, away from the airfield, down to the other side of the volcano. Out of range of the approaching fighters Quam takes out a little key pad and punches in some data.

Quam then steers his speeder into a wide dark canyon which leads to the other side of the volcano. Calmly and controlled Quam manouvered past the protruding rocks and stalagmites.

Suddenly the canyon lights up by an almost blinding light. A dark fighter hovers over the canyons. Quam speeder came to an abrupt standstill. Quam tries to look up into the bright lights as the a tractor beam slowly pulls him in....

Once inside, he strapped himself into the spacious cockpit, punched in a some data and his heavily armed Cloakshaped Fighter speeds off. "Time to do some real killing", Quam thought as he started charging his turbo blasters.

The power cells charge with a whir...

Ok, queeq, you;ll need to keep things short and sharp. There are a LOT of pirate fighters around- many in the atmosphere, and a worryingly huge amount in orbit. It seems the pirates are scrambling their entire offensive fleet. Good as you are, you aren't THAT good...

Fortunately, there aren't too many pirates who are good enough fighters to catch you if you keep it smart. Less fortunately, some of their aces are VERY good. Fortunately again, you should be able to recognise the ships of any of their better pilots...

Quam has some reckoning to do. His controls light up like crazy, mapping all active ships, speeders, people, including distances, velocity and loads of information Quam's ship could gather. Way too much for a human to oversee, but not for Quam.

A dark shadow appears above the smoking summit of the volcano. It sprays light flashes as announcements of numerous proton torpedos locked in and out for pirate kill.
Within moments four pirate fighters explode in the area where Quam had briefly glanced at Gundark.
Quickly his long sleek fingers race over the control, scanning the area for gorges, canyons and caves to hide for potential swarms of enemy fighter. "Hmmm", Quam murmurs as he studies the endless list of minerals, ores and metals that the rocks of the planet's surface contained, "kyberoid... good."

He then turns to his scanners to seek out where the Jedi, and more specifically Gundark had gone. In an instance the Force guids his attention to one little dot on the screen. "Gundark", Quam says through the Force, "now you live a little longer... so we can meet again." A thin smile appeared on his face, knowing that she heard him.

Well, I think the Jedi will be happy about that...

As far as you can tell, queeq, at least six fighters are now tracking you. You can stay ahead of them, but they are starting to limit where you can go.

Your sensors are also picking up a non-pirate ship in the atmosphere. It appears to be fighting.

Quam types in a few commands trying to get more information about the none-pirate ship. Meanwhile he increases his speed to keep the approaching fighters at a distance. Quam steers his fighter toward the rocky region up ahead.

You have a reading. The non-pirate ship is Krisha's. That must be her and Chion trying to get back; the pirates must have ambushed her much as they did you.

Hmm. You think you have lost the pirates but some of their larger orbital ships must be able to track you. They may be trying to vector more fighters on your position.

"Krisha, eh? Well, I'm not risking my neck for her." Quam speeds his ship forward into the deep canyons and caves of the Algard Mountain range. The kyberoid in these mountains will stop any sensor to reach what's below the surface.

You skim neatly between the canyon walls. If they want to find you, they are going to have to fill the place with fighters to flush you out. Still, you can't stay here forever...

The fighter had landed gracefully in one of the larger crevices within the underground canyon.

Inside, Quam opens the pouch on his shoulderblade and takes out a datadisc he had taken from Kuylen's palace. Quickly he inserts it into his computer and within moments extensive maps of tunnels and passage ways are shown.
Quickly Quam types in his coordinates and a light lights up on the map, signifying his present location. He then types in the location of Kuylen's palace. A few more key strokes and a whole underground route from here to the palace lights up.
"Excellent", Quam said with an evil smile, "preparation is everything. From the palace we can regroup and launch the counterattack. This will hurt so bad they'll never know what hit them."

Slowly the fighter lifts up and the gear retracts as the ship slowly leaves to crevice to starts it's underground journey to the palace. Hidden by the kyberoid Quam begins his safe passage.

It will take a certain amount of time to reach the upper levels.

Behind you, you can hear 'whump' noises, presumably of heavy warheads being fired into the canyon to try and flush you out.
